Humax HDR - gone a bit crazy - help please
When I powered up the FoxSat this morning it acted very oddly.
Firstly, it was continually scrolling through the channels on it's own with nobody touching the remote. I managed to get the menu option open but it was just scrolling through that too. I switched off the box at the power switch. Let it have rest. But now it won't power back on - the blue light comes on for a moment then goes back to red. Any ideas? Thanks |

Update
Now getting the Humax screen with the words 'Updating...' and 'Press Stand By Button to Restart'. But this has no effect when done. |

I wonder if an OTA firmware update has gone screwy. In which case one thing to try is to do a firmware upgrade from a USB memory stick.

May have spoken too soon. Just been watching 'Frozen Planet' and on two occasions the recording has fast fowarded completely on it's own. Is this a known issue? Thinking of doing a factory reset.

Will try that. I am using low energy bulbs. Never heard of the low energy lightbulb interference before.

No xmas lights issues. Maybe it's because last night I was telling someone about how good this box has been and what a bargain I got when I paid £110 for it.

Long shot but worth checking out ![]() At least if it happens with the ir receiver covered you know it's an internal problem. |

It's gone and done the same thing again and this time the software reload didn't work. Sent an email to Humax direct to see about getting it fixed. Does anyone have experience of their services?

Managed to take a photo of the Humax onscreen message - can anyone tell me what it means?
