Designer underpants... Are they actually better quality?
Did my laundry yesterday & noticed one of my Calvin Kleins has ripped a hole in the seam already, after a few weeks.
They are made no doubt in the same cheap labour factories as Primark ones. What brand do guys recommend here? Or go with non brand ones?

You would think the designer £15-a-pair boxer shorts would outlast the Next/Debenhams/M&S ones, but, in my experience, they never do.
The CK boxer shorts are always the first to fall apart, usually the waistband begins to seperate from the rest of the fabric after a few washes. |

They are cut far better than cheap ones though, better dyes used etc and the stitching should be better but cotton is cotton. In my opinion especially in mens clothing it's the cut that really sets apart expensive and cheap clothing. Cheap clothes are ill fitting and simply do look cheap.

I tend to either buy from M&S or KINIKI.
Both are great quality, and (mostly) affordable. |

I really begrudge paying for them big I can't wear anything other than CKs. Others don't have the stretch or ride up - really annoying.

My father gets his from Turnbull & Asser, they cost a fortune, but he is allergic to elastic, and theirs are completely covered. (Great quality too)

You're paying a premium for the brand name alone. Cotton is cotton at the end of the day: so long as the stitching's neat and intact, I'm happy to buy from Primark as well as M&S...

Personally I'd say no. I've had pants from both ends of the price spectrum and there really isn't much difference. If you look after your clothes most stuff should last ok. Snobbery is a sad thing, especially with regards to clothing.
