DR Martens...you can get a decent pair on their site £50-80...or you may be lucky and be able to get them slightly cheaper on Amazon. They will last you several years.

Someone is going to come in here and suggest Ugg boots, don't do it OP just don't. Do you really want to look like you are wearing a couple of uncut loaves of bread on your feet?

I'm in Scotland and usually wear my doc martens until the snow is too deep. Zalando.co.uk have some decent snow boots that I have my eye on, not unlike the Sorel 'Joan of Arctic' boots, but not 150 quid.

Also Uggs have no grip and you'll be on your erse at the first sign of ice. Only good for wearing round the house.

I wear normal shoes and use yaktrax if it's slippery.

I wear my cats when it snows (not my furry cat I have to add although she would keep my feet nice and toasty in the snow). I do have some biker boots that are lovely and warm also.

There's some snow boots in Dune at the moment. Really comfortable, waterproof on the outside and non-slippery on the bottom. They're £95 but would last forever.
