Irish Folk and Celtic Punk
anybody here a fan of either of these two genres? if so what's your favourite of each?
For irish folk it would have to be The Dubliners..Ronnie Drew had such an amazing voice i loved his duet's with The Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly and The Mighty Sef. As for Celtic Punk my favourite band would have to be Flogging Molly i went to see them recently in Manchester and the atmosphere was amazing i took my girlfriend who wasn't a Flogging Molly fan and she came out of the gig saying it was the best gig she'd ever been too. Here are some links to some of my favourite songs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26tfmSW1VwI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Du48-...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDSud7vAH_0 |

I definitely agree about The Dubliners, they're really good. I have two albums of theirs - Wild Irish Rovers and another I can't remember the name of. Wild Irish Rovers is my favourite as it has some of my favourite Irish songs.

Agree as well about the Dubliners. Have DVD of 40th anniversary concert at Gaiety Theatre, Dubin. Brilliant! Also saw them at Derngate Nothampton a couple of years ago, great show but very poignant remembering former members who have passed on, particularly Ronnie Drew as it was not long after his sad passing.
