well yeah it was a collage of emotions and home truths spilt out for the world to see...very clever and something they had to do...and so many artists have made work for them....that "personal era(s)" in their music where they break away from the "gossip/celeb" mould and present their own accounts.

Yeah I get you, it really presents an honest side to musicians so the fans and more the wider public see a different side to them. Though really, all of Fleetwood's albums have had an element of truth

It's not one of their, or Stevie's, better ones, and I say that as a total Chiffon-Head. As Long As You Follow, on the other hand, is absolutely gorgeous.

Listening to Tango In The Night such a great album, it makes me think of walking through a desert to an oasis for some reason haha! Seven Wonders is one of my favourites

Had another Mac day today, I thought I adored Gypsy before hand after researching its meaning I really fell for it today, possibly one of my favourite songs ever

I found this a little while back which is well worth a listen. It is a studio version of "Need your Love": Bad language at the beginning so be careful

Neither are very good songs to be honest. I'm sure Stevie had better songs lurking around in the vaults to record for the greatest hits album.

Was listening to Tusk earlier on today and it's still a great, great listen.

It's like a heartbeat and it never really died...

Hmm I really like both of them, I bought a physical copy of the 1988 Greatest Hits album a couple of days back, it's different to the version on my ipod I noticed, the physical version contains Seven Wonders and Oh Diane whilst the version on itunes does not.

Ah I really like Sara, it's beautiful, I also really like Angel but it's not as good as Rhiannon (its predecessor so to speak)

Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie are very underrated song writers.

The iTunes version must be the US release as both Oh Diane and Seven Wonders are not included on that version. The physical must be the European release as both Oh Diane and Seven Wonders are included on the CD and Cassette formats but not the vinyl. All very confusing. The Very Best of is a better compilation to be honest.

Yeah you've probably got it right, for some reason itunes doesn't have The Very Best Of, I am aware that's better than the 1988 GHs.

Has anymore been said on this supposed 2013 tour?

Stevie Nicks has said it's probably happening, I just think it's a case of her and Lindsey wrapping up solo projects and regrouping with Mick and John. My guess is the tour will kick off in the US in the summer 2013 and will include European and Australian dates towards the end of the year.

I hope you're right, I'll have to start putting money aside at some point! Have you seen them live before?

I've seen them twice before and both times were amazing. I nearly had a breakdown when Stevie came to the edge of the stage and waved her tambourine at us. I just really wish she'd play some UK shows before FM regroup.

Aw that's lovely! Where did you go to see them? And I didn't know she'd not been over here with the In Your Dreams tour, that is strange

I saw them both times in Birmingham.

She played a one-off show at Hyde Park for Hard Rock Calling last year which was really well received but that's all so far. It annoys me that she doesn't tour over here as a solo act because she could easily sell tickets out. It's especially annoying when In Your Dreams had its second highest charting position in the UK but she still bypassed Europe to tour Oz and the US yet again. Quite a few fans asked her about touring the UK at a CD signing and Stevie apparently talked about using the signing and promotion for the album as a way to see if there was interest here. The album went top 20 and thousands turned up in London to see her but still no dates have been announced.

I absolutely love the Peter Green incarnation of the band, but am not that keen on what came later.

Favourite tracks:-

Man of the World
Need Your Love So Bad
Green Manalishi
Oh Well Part 1
Oh Well Part 2
Albatross
Dragonfly
Black Magic Woman
Shake Your Money Maker”

I like the 70s stuff but the original group with Peter Green blows my mind.

I can only imagine being the DJ that first played Green Manalishi on the radio

It must have been a "just stop and listen to this" moment.

My favourite track - "Drifting"

I love listening to Fleetwood Mac. I have their greatest hits album. From Albatross, Tusk, Big Love and The Chain as well as the other hits.

I was doing my research and her only top 5 album over here is The Other Side of the Mirror, that is the only album she came over here to tour with; surely she noticed that and realized touring over here was the way forward for her! Imagine the further success she could have had if she had toured over here, but I guess substance abuse was a problem especially with the earlier albums yet still as you say, bringing the In Your Dreams Tour over here would have worked in her favour plus I'm sure loads of people would love to see Stevie solo

I do think the success of The Other Side of the Mirror was partly down to it being released on the back of the hugely successful Tango in the Night by FM. I'm slightly gutted that "Mirror" is her most successful album in the UK when it's nowhere near to being her best.

She was actually over here for a good month promoting In Your Dreams on TV and radio. She could have squeezed a few shows in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow in that time.
