Plus thank goodness it's not in the lower register, starts ridiculously quiet and then builds ...the indie soft rock esque formula is a little bit tiresome now, and not really her. ...this is really fresh 
its great that we have different views: for me, its ok, on the good side of average, a bit light, not very stand out or as impressive vocally as her recent covers, but if its strategic to release something like this, thats ok with me

Ok. I exaggerated because I'm so excited after listening to this song. Sorry for that, I'll make sure that won't happen again.
If you don't like the song so much that you don't think it even deserves to be on the album, your loss. Just hold your horses for a bit and give it a chance. There's a lot of stuff going on in this song that we can't hear clearly because of the LQ.

I agree. It's nice to have a new song but we really don't need to have a repeat of the Echo era or even worse the Kelly Clarkson situation, She had around 50 songs leak
I read something the other day about RCA pushing up Christina's single because they were worried it would leak. That really isn't a good sign especially as they don't know where the leak came from.

It surprises me though because the guy who had posted it had known about it since late October, into November. He's the reason why we though she might've covered someone's song called Songbird for her EP because he said for Leona's new song she was a 'songbird.'I hope they look at the feedback too. The public is giving very positive feedback to it, and even though it's not dark and gritty, you can tell Leona connects to this song since it shows what happened to her and Lou. I really hope they keep it for the album and maybe a single, this is her must catchiest song since BL and BIT. It's definitely her most radio friendly song since then too. If they don't include this song on the album, I'll be very mad

I thought the leaked track was good in the fact that it was catchy, not sure about it being lead single though, but wouldn't mind it being an album track at all. It is hard to judge when it is not top quality. I wonder if this is one of the 4 tracks that was being raved about. I have high expectations for Trouble, so I hope it don't disappoint lol. Still hoping for 1st quarter release or latest April.

I don't know whether it's because we haven't heard new Leona material in so long, but I LOVE LOVE Love Birds. It isn't lead single material. I sort of see it being released in the winter months as a single if it is to be released at all. Really amazing. Annoying that it has leaked though.

I thought the same as well, but do you think this is possible? Have gone for another listen, it is extremely catchy, but I have a terrible track record of what is commercial lol. I am still playing Hurt EP a lot, because I love Leona's vocals on all 3 tracks, but I see a lot of potential for Songbird.

It looks like the label wanted it as the lead single, that probably won't happen now which is good as we need something stronger for the lead single but it would make a great follow up.
