Replacement Hard Drive for Ipod
Does anyone have any advice on where to get one of these?
Mine has been dead for ages and I keep meaning to look into getting one, as the apple store wanted silly money to repair it. |

iPod's don't use hard drives. They use Solid State Memory. I'm sorry to say it's near impossible to do it yourself (requires soldering and a chip etc...). What is wrong with it exactly? It might not be what you think.

Not true, I pod classics have a hard drive as did the ipod mini (?) though that was only 4 gig.
A quick search for ipod classic hard drive gives you places to buy them and instructions on how to do it. BTW the instructions say it's a very hard thing to do http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Installi...rd-Drive/564/1 |
