The Celeb (according to Metro)

Although I don't think it is the worse thing myself in the UK it is certainly up there.

Yes we all enjoy hearing about when celebs give the "do you know who I am" when trying to jump queues, just to be told "no I don't, now get to the back" aka Hugh Grant this weekend.

However we, the big brother fans have created some that are even worse as they try to cling onto their 5 minutes.

Vanessa - "I am the only one that hasn't got by boobs out". What has she done to stay in the public eye? Ben Fogle, nice guy you can do so much better mate. The Stalker stunt, that was low, hope you don't really get a stalker or you are in big trouble. Finally the photo shot in nuts, "I am fading away what can I do to get some press?", I have only one thing left my boobs.

Shell - "I need to help my mum pay the mortgage". No Shell we can all see through you, you want the cash for yourself admit it, we will think more of you as a result. She accuses Ahmed of perving on her, then opens herself to 100's of teenage boys perving on her under the bed by getting her baps out whenever she can. She the tells the sun that is it no more, before she decides she need some more shoes and into nuts.

They both lack class, they are at the bottom of the pond if the only reason anyone will pay them money is to get thier kit off. No such problem for Michelle, the one they looked down on for wanting to be a glammour model. She has managed to keep her clothes on and make loads of cash. She could give them a lesson in "5-minute wannabe". I haven't a clue what the Mags find interesting in Michelle but it seems to work.

Then we go to number one fame hanger on, Jade Goody, famous for been the thick one in BB3. She like Michelle has nothing interesting to offer but the tacky mags can't get enough of her. Why, could be because real famous people such as Tom Cruise would not be seen dead in Heat.

However as most people would agree, and this survey shows, go on BB, sell your story then disappear by the time the summer is out as only the most dedicated fan cares after that.

Good post...........

I do think, however, that the wannabe-ness has changed over the years

BB1..........they didn't know what to expect

BB2/3............an audition for a potential career in TV

BB4............I think they saw it not as an audition, but as their first professional engagement

BB5.........'Reality' hits home..........I seriously think that by BB5 they had realised that nothing long-term will come out of it, and that they should indeed maximise earnings for a few months, in the expectation of going back to normal life within a year

I think the BB5 HMs are much more realistic.

Of course, the above is an 'in the round' summary, and some HMs will buck the trend

Although I wish they would all go back to normal life, seeing them pop up now and then is handy as it gives us something to err 'discuss'...... during the close season

What on earth would we talk about if Alex, Kate, Jade, Michelle, Stuart, Shell and Vanessa had gone straight back to obscurity. Those seven former HMs account for 99 percent of the stuff on here..........and the BB5ers out of them might disappear in the next few months

We need some former HMs to stay in the limelight, or at least to make desperate attempts to do so..........we need ammo.............

You are right, this bored (sic) would have closed down a long time ago if it wasn't for us been bored of these hangers on.

I suppose the one that really annoys me is Vanessa who is still clinging on, despite been the first housemate evicted. Surely this should show her that the public don't want to see her. If we wanted to see more of the stuck up woman looking down her nose at everyone we would have voted Dan out instead of her that week. At least all the others you have mentioned above got to the later stages of the program.

maybe the housemates received some better advice along the lines of not expecting the public to be interested in you for too long.Cash in while you're hot as they say

Ohhh no you don't.

You could be shaken awake at 3am from a deep sleep and would still deliver a perfect monologue about Miss Moomin-features.

I'm bored. It's raining. Come on john-john - I need your evil wit to get me through the day...

Vanessa may not have got her boobs out - but she's dating a right tit.

We do, but there are also other people we could pick on.

Shell - "I am a princess and I think it is wrong that men ogle women like they are peices of meat. Men who buy playboy should have thier right hands chopped off!"

Vanessa - "In South Africa there are people who have a very low standard of living, that is why I left - I am too good for them which is why I left and now I have been on BB I am better then anyone in the UK as well." (please go to the USA)

Desperate you mean.....

Agent: "We've been offered some money for you to sell out your self respect and decency with only an unbelievable bulls**t excuse to cover you modesty".

BB Contestant and not a popular one at that: "I'll do it".

What I meant was more realistic about how long they have to make some dosh..........ie, not long

I'm all in favour of HM desperation, Mes...........the HMs desperation is the lifeblood of the forum

Too true Swing.

What we need is a few of them to do some TV presenting. Any old standard will do, just to fill up the forum with threads until next summer.

I really worry about you, but if it makes you happy I suppose it is not doing anyone else any harm.

I suggest you move next door to her, then you can have your fun and the rest of us can read OK in safety.

The most annoying thing in the UK is ....... Seal Terminator

Don't know if it was deliberate......

But as I was scrolling down the thread that is what I saw and thought;
"Why is 'seal terminator' so annoying?"

My thoughts exactly, was very tempted to post that remark but thought I'd be lynched!!!

Seal Terminator's posts are good.

What you lot find annoying is that anyone would dare criticise your z-list wannabe heroes.

Away and download yourselves a sense of humour somewhere!

What is it just lately with the picking on other forum member's I thought it was against DS rules

I take most posts tongue-in-cheek, as they are meant, but J-J is right, some forum member's seem to have left their senses of humour elsewhere lately.

We are supposed to be chatting and having a laugh about BB I thought, not sticking the knife into fellow forum members all the time Now BB5 has finished, I thought things would lighten up a bit on here
