Two that spring instantly to my mind (though I'd be here all night listing contenders) are:
Daddy Yankee - Gasolina El Chombo - Chacarron I won't post links to them because I seriously wouldn't recommend anybody who has managed to forget what both sound like (or managed to miss them the first time around) to listen to them now. |

Girl Thing - Last One Standing. They were a cynical Spice Girls rip-off and the song was horrible.
And some more recent ones: Alexandra Burke - Start Without You Christina Aguilera - Not Myself Tonight Jessie J - Price Tag Willow Smith - Whip My Hair Pixie Lott - All About Tonight Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling |

So many to choose from. I'll go for Fight for this Love - Cheryl Cole. So bad it's good.

Far, far too many to chose from. A good half of the chart songs I have the displeasure of becoming aware of are execrable.
So I'll go for an instrumental instead. I don't actually know what it's called but it's a big fairly recent hit (last couple of years), is still very popular in bars and tacky clubs, and also increasingly at low-end functions. It's based around a sound which is a bit like a duck quacking on helium. I think it's meant to be supposedly South-Americany sounding - it puts me in mind of that 'Guaglione' thing that was a hit back in 1995 after being on some advert or other, only it has a more modern dance music beat, and is far more repetitively idiotic. Just out of morbid curiosity I suppose I'd like to know what it's actually called, cheers. |
