Mine will drive me mad over christmas he does'nt play games and the rest of us do, its always hard to find a balance to include him and the kids, he does like a jigsaw puzzle so i got one of those, the bike is my other secret weapon

When i was fully able i loved skiing but the last three times we went i only skiid once each time with bad consequences and spent the rest of the time in the apartment trying to find an english channel on the tv, no computer, i was so bored, the rest were shattered and after dinner just wanted to sleep I said they could go without me, Sian said she would rather stay home with me. sorted

The cake story.

I have always had the ability to knock cakes together perfectly unlike my mother , so i usually make a christmas cake and wrap whatever is left for mother to take home after the festivities.
I got all the ingrediants together, after forgetting to buy plain flour and having to pop back out for it.
Caitlin wanted to learn how to make christmas cake and i find the mixing hard, so i put all the ingrediants into bowls and instructed her what to do at each stage, i also gave her mrs.Beatons cake baking book , so she could check step by step, she had nearly finished when i had to fetch Brad from work, i left her to it, on my return it was in the oven, i checked and said how come its so big!...she just shrugged i checked oven temp with book too high so turned it down, all too late it came out burnt on the outside raw in the middle and way too high, the birds and dogs got to eat it!
I am now going to cheat and buy one unfinished so i can decorate it, mother will know the test is whether she just enjoys it or says this is'nt one of yours.

It sounds really boring now i've written it, but at least i now know why people always say cake baking is hard, heaven alone knows what cait did after i left!

Next time cover the glass with a clothe before your visitor arrives!
