Same could be said of Zara (negotiating on the wrong tasks, making a crappy advert, making nasty tasting popcorn).

Think that Lord Sugar would not want to part with his money for either of them, but then they should not have changed the format.

Flying beneath the radar for most of the series...... he did enough in every task to avoid being back in the boardroom if his team lost, but not enough to put himself in the firing line

He was lucky to have got the win this time with an inferior product....

BUT - now we know what the final task is - its far more up his street than it is Zara's, let's hope he gats Harry H in his team!

Agree - he is arguably a good organiser and can work with most people. Hasn't done anything that really stands out though.

He's been pretty asute when it comes to money, he was good at negotiating and knew how to play the game 'pretending to like products' etc. A seemingly horrible little man but he's been pretty good in this show.

I think he's very lucky to be there and thought the new format last night was wrong for this reason among several. I also hated the way he was slouched in the seat in the boardroom until he found out his team had won. A very poor final set to be with Zara being the inevitable winner.

It should have been a Hary H vs Zara final, just a shame his team lost depite Zara's La Popcorn being an inferior product.

I agree but that was Sugar's own fault. The way he (or the production team) set up the two semi final teams meant a Harry H v Zara final was impossible. Realistically the final would either be Harry v Harry or Zara v James. Haya and Lizzie were always going to lose out.

Lizzie? Really? I would have said Harry M was marked out as the fall guy from the outset on that team, and as Lizzie performed the best on the task and performed well for the most part throughout the show, I really don't think she would have been let go had they won.

James is good: I wanted him and Haya for the final.

Zara's the lucky one! Yes she's extremely confident and articulate but those aren't enough to make her a finalist. Also hate the way she tried to take credit last week for Harry's suggestion of ringing a library to find out what a dashiki was....

Glad to see Zara in the final. She and Harry H were both excellent contestants throughout. Quite a few of the others including James, are capable and talented too. I thought it could have gone to either team on that task. The programme was probably filmed in such a way as to make us think the other team was going to win. Hence, it can seem that James was merely lucky to win it. But maybe he won it because he did do a good job to make sure his team won. (Despite the naff name for the popcorn.)

They always seem to edit it that way to add to the drama. One team is shown making mistakes, fluffing pitches, bad reactions, etc. Then when it comes to the boardroom they are revealed to have won. After the pitches were over it was so clear from what had been shown that Empire State Popcorn should sweep the board I knew La Popcorn would win. I wish the producers wouldn't do that, it leaves the impression the team that won didn't deserve to.

I agree Lizzie did very well, but I think Harry M and Harry H would have been too strong for her in a boardroom showdown unfortunately.

I thought James was clearly the best candidate on day 1, and he's continually proved that week on week. He's the only one there with a brain as far as I can see.

James is in the final so that Zara can win!

She was the one who took the next step and asked someone to actually look it up for her and actually persuaded them to do it. Most people would put the phone down on Harry M.

James looks to me to be the least smart one there - he often talks complete nonsense worthy of Jim. Harry H is smart but dithers. Haya has dud ideas but some good ones, as does Harry M in a more annoying way. James beats Haya as he's more forceful and did more on the task.

Zara has good ideas and has learnt how to spot other people's better ones and to lead others to the right decisions. She's just made minor mistakes. If you were interviewing, as in the adult show, or going not on winning teams but the best performances in the SF, I would have had Lizzie, who is smart organised, competent and able, and Zara in the final.

I thought that too, I think Sralan likes him as well.

I must be watching a different apprentice to you then! James is ok but I wouldn't say he's brainy.

I think James is pretty smart - If you watch back over the series you'll find he often manages to pinpoint what factors are important to win a task.
He's hampered by his dreadful monotone voice and he can be a bit blunt.
If it was down to just intelligence then I think we have the best two finalists. If you take into account things like charisma and teamworking, then probably not.

I think both finalists are pretty good but am just so disappointed that four other good young people had to go last night, it seems unfair. You could tell Sugar didn't like having to sack them.

He did do well when he pointed out to Harry M that a theme/concept needed to be formulated for the deodrant task before a name was agreed on. James got that one spot on and I must admit he did make me laugh in the first task. He came up with the name shiver me timber - yes, I may have got him wrong in hindsight.
