That old guy on The Apprentice

I think he's called Nick? He really annoys me and I feel bad for saying so! It's because he always pulls really annoying faces like he's confused, constipated, annoyed, angry and like he's interested. He always seems to have weird facial expressions!

Anyone else see this?

He`s a real character - love Nick. But he went down in my estimation when he was boosting up Zara`s presentation - she sounded like a 35 yr old Margaret Thatcher, rather than the 16/17 yr old kid she`s supposed to be.

Agreed: her presentation was just hot air (but I guess that's what you need to make popcorn ).

It's just the way it's all edited together, if they haven't got enough the director will ask for a few stock expressions to paste in, a lot of programmes do it.

Monica and Michel on Master Chef pull faces for most of the time they are on cam, it's just the editing.

Nick and Karren can't say much during the tasks, apart from the odd piece to camera. So facial expressions are the main way we see their reactions to what the teams are doing. Nick's been doing the show since it started so his range of expressions is truly impressive though a bit exaggerated. It's amazing he hasn't lost the power of speech completely.

Exactly the reason Nick often makes better viewing than many of The Apprentice contestants.
