can Little Mix be the next big girlband
do you think there is room for Little Mix in the market to be the next big girlband, with their only rivals right now being The Saturdays who right now tbh aren't doing great with their latest single dropping down the chart my heart takes over, considering the Spice Girls, Atomic Kitten, All Saints, Sugababes, Girls Aloud, Girls Can't Catch and Parade seem to have had their day and are not releasing anything in the near future, well maybe Girls Aloud and Sugababes but nothing is confirmed as of when, do you think they can be the next big girlfriend when they finish x factor whatever position they come on sunday's final?

If they work on their dancing and vocals, then they could make it big. For the next few months its just The Saturdays they have to compete with.
But come February, Sugababes will be out for blood, and I'm sure Amelle and Jade will readily get their claws out. |

I'm backing them to win on Sunday, so chances are, yes. They will do a lot better than Ward, Jackson, McElderry and Cardle, win or lose.

Yes they will. I see them every weekend and have THAT feeling about them.
They will be a girlband like the old skool ones! You know like a contemporary Bananarama, and have a feeling with the correct promotion, the attention to detail and if they follow a direction musically that is strong for them and reflects the group dynamic vocally. Like En Vogue...a Soul injection, Dance Pop....some deep melodies, reflecting their strengths as singers ![]() They will surpass most girlbands that have come and gone over the last decade IMO |

But they should get Xenomania to write for them. |

There isn't really a big girl band around at the moment. Girls Aloud and Sugababes are on hiatus and The Saturdays won't be around for long since their new album has bombed big time. Boy bands seem to be pretty popular right now what with JLS, One Direction and The Wanted all doing well.
I've never heard of Little Mix - were they formed on The X-Factor or something? |

![]() I mean, come on! Be realistic! They're good but- in fact, they're not even that good. They're the best out of a bad bunch. Can't seriously think they'll surpass most girlbands we've seen over the last decade. You make them sound as if they're capable of taking over the world! |

I have no interest or like them in any way but they have no competition, by the time their album comes out The Saturdays will be gone because of Unas pregnancy, Sugababes are clearly splitting up and i really dont think Girls Aloud will get back, and even if they do there is more than enough room for more than one girlband
And there was really no need to attack that poster, he types how he types, leave him be? |

If they get good songs written for them then why not? That's what it's all about. Girls Aloud could easily have faded away had their songs been shite.

Sugababes have just one more album, then yeah, they're likely done. Heard Jade and Amelle's solo albums are fulfilling the rest of their publishing deal with Sony.
So that leaves The Saturdays and a few newcomers, like Woo Woos and Stooshe. I reckon all three of these bands will disappear by the end of 2012, so maybe Little Mix have a chance. By default. |

But they should get Xenomania to write for them. Little Mix won't win the X Factor but they'll do the best out of the finalists by far. |

Yeah. Cos that's what they need, cobbled together weak songs.
Xenomania are amazing!I think Little Mix need to find their own identity though, but I definitely wouldn't object to two or three Xenomania tracks on their album. |

Oh... they're from the crap factor.
Why is this in the music section? That show has absolutely nothing to do with (real) music

Not really. The Saturdays have some of the best songs in pop, including one of my all-time favourites Higher, and they're still a pretty average flop band.
