When the auditions were taking place it was questioned why Simon Cowell's smoking cig was blured out well this might the reason.
Simon Cowell was sussed breaking the law (a smoking ban) in ireland when he was caught on camera during his X-FACTOR show puffing away on a fag...
"Of course, this is illegal in Ireland and the authorities take breaches very seriously. Not only can the illegal smoker be prosecuted, but the venue owner as well..in this case Jury's Hotel in dublin.
The irony is that the health board spokesperon who looked at the case mentioned that he was caught on camera on other X-Factor puffing away freely in the UK. Whereas they tried to pixelate out the cigarrete from the dublin show. Which brought more attention to the cigarette than if they had of left it alone.
To quote the article "Whatever about his crimes against music, it would seem Cowell is untouchable where his breach of the smoking ban is concerned."
Bottom line is they would never get a prosecution based on the video evidence alone. plus he could claim he was smoking a herbal cigarette, which is legal. Plus, nobody else in the room complained making it very difficult to gather evidence."
