Hi soulmate,
Thanks for asking, it has been quite a year!
In February I was in hospital with an absess on my liver. I was convinced that I was dying and couldn't believe it when I was discharged in four days. The doctor informed me that it could have killed someone of my age, but I was in such great physical shape that my system reacted very well to the anti biotics.
In September I took part in the local 10K run and received a veterans trophy for being the oldest out of the 502 runners.
My BIG news is that I have finally got a place in next years London Marathon. I am over the moon, this has been something that I have wanted to do for so many years.
I have been training on the road and in the gym. Last week they had a treadmill challenge at the gym. Two 17 year old's managed two hours, but I beat them, running 15 miles in three and a half hours. At the moment I am going for distance rather than speed, but I hope to be going faster by April.

That is my real name, the name I use in here is a character from one of my favourite films.
