Paace, on the poll initial set-up page it shows you a default number of options inside a box. This can be overtyped with the number you want. You then leftclick the instruction saying something like "update options count".

It does work.

Hi Walter, one year on how is your gym routine and marathon running? Your diet has got to be interesting.

Hi soulmate,

Thanks for asking, it has been quite a year!

In February I was in hospital with an absess on my liver. I was convinced that I was dying and couldn't believe it when I was discharged in four days. The doctor informed me that it could have killed someone of my age, but I was in such great physical shape that my system reacted very well to the anti biotics.

In September I took part in the local 10K run and received a veterans trophy for being the oldest out of the 502 runners.

My BIG news is that I have finally got a place in next years London Marathon. I am over the moon, this has been something that I have wanted to do for so many years.

I have been training on the road and in the gym. Last week they had a treadmill challenge at the gym. Two 17 year old's managed two hours, but I beat them, running 15 miles in three and a half hours. At the moment I am going for distance rather than speed, but I hope to be going faster by April.

If you would like to see my Marathon web site, go to

That is my real name, the name I use in here is a character from one of my favourite films.

Wonderful, Walter, not only that your body is up to it, but that your mind and spirit have the freshness and zing for same.

Marathons like the Grand National favour a mature contestant who realises there is no reward in rushing off at a hundred miles an hour then burning out before the target is attained. Efficient investment and economical effort deliver the best outcome.

Physics has observed how nature always moves in the way which minimises effort like water seeking out the fastest path to flow downhill -- the Principle of Least Action. I like to think on the dance floor the most energy-efficient couple do not lurch from excess to exaggeration then compensate by doing the opposite. Such a couple conserve their energy and emotions when advancing from round to round. I suggest the most efficiently engineered movement also looks the most aesthetically pleasing. Success is beautiful.

To hell with doctors. You are not average, and evidently your mind is a good friend to your body. DS forum cheers for you -- 9 paddle . More strength to your arms, and your legs, and anything that moves .

Thanks for those encouraging words!

My running number is 9704, and my T Shirt will have this on it

"Bowel Cancer UK Save Lives"

So look out for me, I don't expect that there will be too many 75 year old's running.
