As a ballroom couple arrives at a corner of the rectangular ballroom they make a spin turn. Her ballgown like a ship's sail whips up a draught refreshing and cool on a hot afternoon.
Arm hankies dry fastest during a quickstep.

I thought this was going to be something about The One Show when I clicked on it!

I don't really get the one shoulder look either. It is unbalanced and the shoulder often looks bare in a negative way, like something unprotected. I also think it looks a bit indecisive, as if you couldn't decide whether to have the shoulders covered or not. But I dislike more the raggedy arm hankies, particularly when they get caught awkwardly on the dancer or her partner, which happens quite often when people spin around.

I didn't know I had an opinion on this until I read everyone else's! And I'm sure your dress will be gorgeous, Vivacious Lady.

Thanks. I have a picture in front of me (Dance News) of Katusha Demidova with arm hankies. So if they're good enough for Katusha, then I'm sure they're good enough for me!

I see the one-shoulder styling was very much in evidence again at the weekend. It's being over-done in fact and for those ladies who are fairly well-endowed, I'm afraid it was looking terribly unflattering.

Poor Chelsee is top-heavy anyway and these one-shoulder dresses make her look even more so. It maybe wasn't quite so obvious as it was in the dreadful high necked dress she wore for her AT but I really think they should stop putting her in these one-shouldered things.

She looks far better in dresses which have two straps and proper support. The neckline of the one she wore at Wembley was good )and suited her) and I also like what she's wearing in the opening credits of the show.

I hate that look too! Don't mind the 'floats' so much but really don't like that one-shoulder look.

They look so so on a woman with small boobs and petite shoulders but if you are at all well endowed then it is a bad bad look (and I say that as a well endowed lady myself )

Mostly agree regarding the one bare shoulder look, with one exception, does anyone remember the rumba dress worn by Cherie Lunghi in 2008 (i think). Thouhgt this dress looked beautiful on her.
