Anyone heard about Alex Day trying to get Christmas number one?

He's a youtuber (Nerimon he has about 450,000 subscribers) and he's trying to get his single "Forever Yours" to the top spot for christmas through itunes sales.

I cannot find much about it, I know he's part of the band "Chameleon Circut" who do "trock" (Dr Who related music) and they have an article on here. But surprised to see nothing about Alex's single.

The song is called "Forever Yours" if anyone is interested.

I love Alex as a youtuber but that song is awful.


I hope it does well but I certainly won't be buying it.

I really like the song, I think it's really catchy (although admittedly not very christmassy).

Also think the video that Charlie did is cool(like)

I agree. I much prefer the acoustic version he uploaded a while back. However, the reworked version is more mainstream and likely to be noticed.

I didnt hear the acoustic version until after I'd heard the produced one. I like both and find it really catchy. I'd love to see it do well. Would be good to see an unsigned act do well compared to the "big boys"

i like alex day a lot, and i think the song, both the acoustic and produced version, is the best thing he's ever released. i think it would be wonderfull if the song at least manages to infiltrate the top 40.

I like Alex, he tried to get a number 1 with CHARTJACKERS a few years ago aswell. Talented guy....plus from Hornchurch so he gets my support.

The songs catchy and would be good if it was sung by someone else. His voice is just so nasally and irritating!! I'll still be buying just to help him out though.

So, Forever Day has begun!

In two hours it's hit #59 on iTunes which really isn't bad for an independent record. I wonder how it'll hold through the week.

5 versions of the song in the itunes top 40! i didn't see this one coming.

Apparently (According to Buzzjack) he is currently number 1 on Itunes when all version are combined, pretty impressive!! I heard the song a few weeks back when Charlie uploaded the video and really liked it, but didn't expect it to be released as a single, especially not one which is selling so well either!! Really is such an achievement and exciting to see some uncertainty in the christmas charts!

I've never heard of him or his music, but it's really quite something to appear on the charts from just YouTube really, barely much publicity, and no record contract. Congrats to him already.

Shame about the song/singer. It is awful.

like alex (apart from his pleas to get his fans to buy all of the tat he's produced/released) but his music and voice are crap.
