I suppose because if she is contacting him all the time she does want him back and he seems on the surface to not want her-----and if she isn't contacting him all the time then he's pretending she is for his own reasons------he could be delusional----he could be wanting her to contact him-----he could be insanely jealous and trying to upset Luke-------many other scenarios possible and they all make me a bit sad.
