Well you missed a right old war on twitter last night guess who versus who? Maggi has come back from New York, posted to say hello and has since vanished. Welshy is off out, says she will be back at around 10.30pm and posting. And it's soooooooooooooooo cold

the poll seem to be running away, shes 135 and 215 behind, dont think they will let her win will they if it was fare and sq id have no problem with someone else winning but when its from spite it sticks in your throat a bit

So cold here too. Was dreading coming home to no electricity again but all is ok. Thank god we kept the coal fire.

Have asked Maggi to post about New York, that might be where she went, to type something up . I'm fine thanks Joyce had a bit of a week with Grumpy Drawers living up to Grumpy name but other than that I'm ok How's you? Haven't seen Cathy for a few days, is she ok do you know?

Hi Moira......yes it was off when I came home from work. The house was freezing till I got the fire going, so at least we were warm. It was scary though, just sitting in candlelight wondering what was happening. There wasn't much damage done anywhere around here so it wasn't too bad in the end.
We do get a lot of power cuts here that why we kept the open coal fire. In that last big boxing day storm we had no power for 5 days....that was awful.

Sorry to hear GD's not so good.

Cathy's just texted she's having trouble with her phone and can't see twitter either. She's been busy baking and making teddies.

C'mon Maggie we want to hear what you got up to in NY.

Sorry to post and go but back again . New York was great, don't know about a report Wendy it mainly consisted of shop, shop shop, and eating . Only touristy thing we done was visit the 9/11 memorial . Very sad but really peaceful. Got loads of presents and treated myself to a I-pad ( determined to turn myself into a techno wizard). Managed to keep up with the thread a bit until tuesday, finally caught up today . Maggi. X

The windows are fantastic, we stay very close to Macy's so we pass them all the time, there's always crowds around watching, shopping was great this year, nephews are all into Ralph Lauren hoodies etc, managed to get most of them sorted. plus my nephews g/f had their baby last Friday so ran riot buying baby clothes . Maggi. X
