Hello dolly, if you look back at the lyrics to the song, its all about wars and the senselessness of it all, so I think he s referring to the twitter wars, not that I read them, refuse to, and of course the pointlessness. i.e of being a fan and hating on others. Think its clear what its about, as Wendy interpreted. Dont believe its anything to do with Josie at all, although you are right she did make that comment in her column but it could have meant any sh..... bloke she been with and who knows what she is feeling, as we know she often speaks without thinking it through imo.

Wow, these posts are going to be looooooooong if we always have to list what they've BOTH done.

I was in no way insulting John at all today. In fact, I get accused of not talking about him. Well I was here to discuss. And I'm giving him far more credit that many others here. John is smart. John doesn't randomly tweet. John does know what he's doing.”

I agree with you, he is smart and he could have sent that tweet to ignite....i would not be shocked at all if he did, of cause he knows what he is doing, he'll have seen the reactions he got when tweeting some of stuff he was tweeting after they broke up.

I wasn't saying i disagreed with you i don't have a clue why or what he meant in tweeting it...i was just saying it is a two way street.

Yeah I know my point was that they both do it, and everyone will have different takes on that tweet and mine is that its just a song hes listening to and maybe just liked the lyric i quite often do that and theres no meaning behind it. I think to be fair josie was talking about john she was saying that she had watched an episode of 'TSAJ' and was saddened at how drained she looked so i think she was reffering to her relationship with john, but like wendy said they are both human they're not perfect and they will both do things we don't agree with

One of the verses you will have seen before as I added and changed a few bits. It's always a work in progress and when I read back I'm never happy so have to twiddle.
This is set just after the talk outside under the doona in the garden on Fire Escape Day.

They moved to the bedroom and John's mind had settled
It seemed he was ready to say
How he wanted to run if she wasn't his friend
And the depth of his feelings that day
He tried to explain how his feelings had grown
How it shook him just how much he cared
He wasn't sure why he was feeling this way
It was very rare he declared

Our Jose she looked stunned as she took it all in
At first she just stared as he spoke
He said how it hurt him if she was upset
And still our Jose thought it a joke
They talked of the rounders when she didn't play
He hadn't picked her in his team
He then said if she were to go from the house
He'd leave straight away---what a dream

They then were disturbed as Andrew appeared
With Jaffa cake offerings in tow
He said he was glad that John hadn’t left
He’d have missed him if he’d had to go
Jose said that she wished Andrew’d come in before
Then he’d be her husband not John
You could almost see John as he gritted his teeth
The jealousy wouldn’t be gone.

I'm really not sure if this settled John's mind
It seemed he decided to say
That there were lots of things that he loved about her
He couldn't explain it but hey
He told her he loved the way that she talked
And even the way that she ate
It really was such a heart warming speech
We listened and thought it was great

He told her when he'd felt the way that he did
About people before that he knew
He'd give his life for them to show how he cared
And with Josie he would do that we knew
She called him a weirdo but in a nice way
As no one cared for her like that
They knew she was strong and could cope with it all
She was totally shocked by his chat.

They moved under the doonas and lights were turned off
As others thought they'd go to sleep
They were getting more close you could tell by the shapes
And the talking was getting real deep
We were told the next day that there was a kiss
And he said that he felt the same way
It was only the things that we'd already guessed
But he wanted it secret that day

I'm still not so sure she believed what he said
And realised he spoke from the heart
But I think that the truth was that in that strange place
He'd been shaken and pulled right apart
He'd fallen for her with incredible force
She'd gotten right under his skin
And he knew if he once let his guard drop right down
An emotional mess he'd be in.”

You've come in with this lovely poem at just the right time and hit the right spot

Evening Judy, i dont watch that much of it but i do like Marcus...i think he would struggle to be pop star just because of the type of music he seems to be good at and likes....i think Little Mix will do well anyway regardless of if they win or not....the ones who win don't normally seem to do as good as those who come second or third from what ive seen.

I have never been that into xfactor but even less year with out Simon....i don't actually think it's what he says it's his facial expressions

Hello Susan, I agree yeah Simon is that missing dimension, he knows how to talk the talk etc.... its not the same without him at all. Gary Barlow desperately wants his act to win, they all do, but him the most, I get the impression he is super competitive Remind you of anyone

The twitter quote from John could have been from the lyrics of Australian Rock Band Midnight Oil

The Power and the Passion

People, wasting away in paradise
Going backward, once in a while
Moving ahead, falling behind
What do you believe, what do you believe
What do you believe is true
Nothing they say makes a difference this way
Nothing they say will do

You take all the trouble that you can afford
At least you won't have time to be bored
At least you won't have time to be bored

Oh the power and the passion, oh the temper of the time
Oh the power and the passion
Sometimes you've got to take the hardest line

Sunburnt faces around, with skin so brown
Smiling zinc cream and crowds, Sundays the beach never a cloud
Breathing eucalypt, pushing panel vans
Stuff and munch junk food
Laughing at the truth, cos Gough was tough til he hit the rough
Uncle Sam and John were quite enough

Too much of sunshine too much of sky
It's just enough to make you want to cry
It's just enough to make you want to cry

Oh the power and the passion, oh the temper of the time
Oh the power and the passion
Sometimes you've got to take the hardest line

I see buildings, clothing the sky, in paradise
Sydney, nights are warm
Daytime telly, blue rinse dawn
Dad's so bad he lives in the pub, it's a underarms and football clubs
Flat chat, Pine Gap, in every home a Big MacAnd no one goes outback, that's that
You take what you get and get what you please
It's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees
It's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees

Oh the power and the passion, oh the temper of the time
Oh the power and the passion
Sometimes you've got to take the hardest line

It's a bit depressing. If that's him telling us what his life is like, it doesn't sound great.

Hi everyone i've been a bit off a lurker but like eveyone on this thread i was totally smitten with john james and josie on BB11. At the time it was a bit of escapisim for me as my dad was dying of cancer. He lost is battle on 30 th of september 2011. Since then i have followed them both on twitter and on this thread, but this is the first time i've felt the need to respond. I do feel that john knows exactly what he is doing when he puts his tweets out. He lurks enough to know his reaction to Zillie and to know how often he gets a tweet from phil (god bless her). I know josie refers to him in her coloumn on tuesdays now mag but that is her opinion on their relationship.I just wish he could be as honest about things as josie is and not be so cryptic about things. Which leaves his extreme fans to send hate to josie because they feel its about their relationship

Hello Linda, welcome to the mad house. Sorry to hear about your dad, I think quite a few of us have used this thread as a bit of escapism for one reason or another, but hope you will keep on posting now you are here I agree John does know exactly what he is doing and more than selective about what he tweets, the fact he is so cryptic is annoying to those of us who dont always get it, but that his perogative. But I do think theres always a message behind the tweet which is what he intends to convey and am sure in this instance its to do with the rubbish that goes on on twitter, and obviously the reason why he comes on very seldom.
