Time limits on PAYG sim for iPad question
Hi
I've bought my wife an ipad2 for Christmas which is a 3G version. I want to get her the £20.99 PAYG 3 month, 3GB data sim from three network, but want to order it now so it is here in plenty of time ready to go into the device on Christmas Day for her. Do time limits on PAYG sims start when you buy and pay for them, or from when you first use them in the phone / iPad etc? Anyone know? |

They tend to start when you make the first payment. If you bought the sim with credit already then the timer is already running.....I think (presumably it was activated in the store). If you haven't turned the ipad on yet for the first time and set it up, then it won't be activated yet.

It will activate from when you first use the SIM, not from when you buy it.
Your paying alot though, they are only £11.49 here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Original-Bro.../dp/B003Z0T3X2 |

Just get a SIM cutter from Ebay for a couple of quid. I've cut down a few sims for my ipad (including several of the cheap 3month three sims mentioned above!).
