Not sure if this should go into the Fantasy Folder but here goes-

Cora was 28 when she had Tanya and 31 when she had Rainie both daughters born to her late husband William who died when Tanya was 13 and when Rainie was 10.

However long before Tanya and Rainie were born Cora was raped by a man and this resulted in Cora giving birth to a girl which she called Deborah. Deborah was born in 1967 when Cora was 21 but her Mother Marge and Father Lenny told her to give the baby up as abortion was out of the question back then. Deborah was born and given up for adoption and Cora got on with her life...now 44 Deborah turns up in Walford one day looking for her birth mother...her adoptive parents are both dead and now she wants to find her birth mother...Cora told nobody about her rape except Marge and Lenny and not even her beloved William. One day Rainie meets Deborah and a friendship begins and then Rainie introduces Deborah to her Mother and sister and then Cora realises that she needs to talk about her dark past, will she allow Deborah into her life?

I think this would be a good way of Introducing the third sister, it would give Cora a big storyline and welcome Deborah into the Cross family.

thoughts?

No, no more secret family members, it's old and boring why does every character need a dark secret?

I would like Cora to struggle with this to begin with but on the advice of Tanya and Rainie she welcomes Deborah into the family fold...she then discovers that Deborah has a female partner which does not bother her and another Grandson she never knew she had...

SPOILER - DEBRA STEPHENSON TO JOIN EASTENDERS AS CORA'S LONG LOST DAUGHTER...

Actress Debra Stephenson will be joining the EE cast next summer as Deborah Morris the long lost daughter of Cora Cross. Deborah arrives in Albert Square when she meets Rainie Cross and a friendship develops but when Rainie introduces Deborah to her Mum Cora and sister Tanya it is Cora who is forced to relive her past and to reveal to Tanya and Rainie that Deborah is the daughter she gave up when she was 21.

Deborah Stephenson said of her casting 'It is great to be joining EE, there are going to be some tears but hopefully joy too, working with such talented actresses like Tanya, Ann & Jo is going to be a real treat and Ann Mitchell is a real Acting legend'.

I agree with garyessex that we've seen too many dark secrets/suprise family members so I'm not a fan of the idea. But that's just my opinion
