We have to pick her up and walk away from the house and THEN put her down, and then she walks for about 30 seconds then randomly just stops and sits down. She's so lazy! We let her run around the back garden whenever she wants (she always scratches the back door and runs around crazy) but whenever she comes back in she doesn't even stop to get dried, she runs straight past us and whenever we do eventually catch her and try to dry her she bites the towel and starts jumping for our fingers!”

My Cockapoo (English Cocker Spaniel x Miniature Poodle) used to do that on walks when we first starting walking her when she was a few months old. We could hardly get her to walk down the road and she used to keep on stopping and pining to go home again. However all it took was some training, some treats and some perseverance and she now loves going for walks and meeting other dogs. We let her off the lead now and she has never really run off from us and loves playing with other dogs.
I understand from reading the Gumtree thread and from the poster above that you have since sold your puppy.
I don't think it is fair to say that you should never have a dog again, but if you ever think of getting another animal, please do your research first! It took us months to decide whether or not to get a dog and in that time we read plenty of books and researched all the different breeds until we found the one which was right for us. We knew that when we got our puppy training was an essential part and if you aren't committed in putting the time and effort in for that, then there is no point in buying an animal, as it wouldn't have a good life and would be hard for you to cope with too.

I hope the new owners are more considerate and hope the dog is not used for puppy farming or something as awful.
