Major League Baseball Playoffs; Fox (USA) & BT Sport/ESPN (UK)

American League Championship Series

MLB on Fox pregame and postgame presenting team - Matt Vasgersian presenting with Harold Reynolds and Michael Cuddyer (from Secaucus, New Jersey), with Gabe Kapler, Eric Karros and Jimmy Rollins (from Detroit and Boston)

Detroit Tigers v Boston Red Sox - Joe Buck and Tim McCarver, with Erin Andrews and Ken Rosenthal as field reporters

Jon Paul Morosi was working as a reporter at the National League Championship Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals for Fox during their ALCS coverage.

World Series

MLB on Fox pregame and postgame presenting team - Matt Vasgersian presenting with AJ Pierzynski, Harold Reynolds and Jimmy Rollins (from St. Louis and Boston)

St. Louis Cardinals v Boston Red Sox - Joe Buck and Tim McCarver, with Erin Andrews and Ken Rosenthal as field reporters

Jon Paul Morosi will also be contributing postgame interviews along with Andrews and Rosenthal for Fox Sports 1's Fox Sports Live show, with Ryan Field working as a fieldside presenter with Pierzynski and Rollins for that show.

BT Sport 1 will be screening every game of the World Series (not online or through their app sadly) and will be carrying MLB International's world feed with commentary from Gary Thorne and Rick Sutcliffe, as was the case with their coverage of the National League Championship Series.

You're right, while Gemmell presented from Northampton on Sunday with Rupert Cox hosting the evening highlights round up

I think Gemmell also did the 7.30 start on Saturday morning for NZ v Aus which seems incredibly harsh considering the time he would have gotten away from Wembley on the friday.

Phillip Studd (along with Joe Johnson) was doing the Opening day coverage of the International Championships that's on in Chengdu for Eurosport 2 this morning. Has he worked for them before?

Actually that is their second visit of the day, earlier on it was Dave Hendon and Mike Hallett.

Phil Studd does a lot for BE yes, he seems to be on more than Mike Smith at the moment.

Nice to hear about Dan Dawson and Phillip Studd working on the online and television broadcasts of darts and snooker respectively, both of them are strong voices on their respective sports for the radio stations they report on them for, so it's good to hear they've had the chance to progress to a visual medium.

Interesting that Premier Sports are basically using the BBC Rugby League pundits to cover the matches during the World Cup. Brian Noble, Robbie Paul and Jon Wilkin at the PNG/France and NZ/Samoa game today.

Thanks both of you. When I caught the voice I (as usual) thought to myself "Hey! That's him "off of" the radio") and don't remember him doing anything for Eurosport when they showed the World Snooker Championships (the only real time I watch Snooker really)

This next question is open to anyone:-

Digiguide schedules for early November shows neither ESPN nor BT Sport showing France v New Zealand in the upcoming Autumn Rugby union internationals on November 9th. Does anyone know if it is them that'll be showing it?

Really? I thought the French contract (along with Italy) was for 2014-17?

Sunday 27th October - Channel 4 and More4

American Football Live at Wembley: San Francisco 49ers v Jacksonville Jaguars

Colin Murray presenting from Wembley Stadium alongside Mike Carlson and Fred Taylor

Commentators: Chris Myers and Tim Ryan (as Fox)

Pitchside reporters: Jennifer Hale (as Fox) and Nat Coombs

Coverage is being split between the two channels with Channel 4 broadcasting the game between 4.30-8pm before it shifts over to More4, whose coverage is set to air between 7.55-8.30pm. The American Football Show host Vernon Kay joined Colin and Mike in the studio prior to the game and I'm sure he won't be their only studio guest as their coverage continues. They are also dropping in highlights from the NFL RedZone channel to their studio exerts during the breaks in play, as they do on their Sunday Night Football coverage.

I did too, but it looks from the schedules like the deal with France and Italy starts this year with Ireland games joining next season

This was indeed what happened - Fred Taylor left the studio at the end of the first half, with NFL UK managing director Alistair Kirkwood joining Colin and Mike during the half-time interval. Guy McIntyre joined them in the studio towards the end of the game and for the postgame reaction on More4. The switchover from Channel 4 to More4 was made with just over one minute left in the game. Nothing happened after that, the teams just let the clock run down. So there you go. The postgame interviews were fun, that Jennifer Hale from Fox is something else. "Good luck on your flight home!"
