yep he is a very good commentators, will he still commentate on the cricket if there is a clash with Rugby.

European Rugby - Sky
Parker Pen

Bath v Bordeaux (Thurs) - Johnnie Hammond and Dewi Morris

Heineken Cup
Northampton v Castre (Fri) - Martin Gillingham and Will Greenwood
Leinster v Ospreys (Fri) - Miles Harrison and Stuart Barnes

Glasgow v Toulon (Sat) - Johnnie Hammond and Dewi Morris
Toulouse v Zebre (Sat) - Simon Ward and Michael Lynagh
Leicester v Ulster (Sat) - Miles Harrison and Stuart Barnes
Saracens v Connacht (Sat) - Mark Robson and Ieuan Evans

Munster v Edinburgh (Sun) - Scott Hastings and Frankie Sheahan
Perpignan v Gloucester (Sun) - Simon Ward and Thinus Delport
Scarlets v Harlequins (Sun) - Bob Symonds and Pat Sanderson
Clermont v Racing Metro (Sun) - Mark Robson and Ieuan Evans

Scott Hastings took rubbish to new levels on this Munster v Edinburgh game. Commentating saying it's half time and handing back to the studio when quite clearly Wayne Barnes was going upstairs for foul play and a probable pen. Quite embarrassing.

No, rugby will have priority. He will probably be an occasional member of the team for the India series.

Not a surprise to see Mark Richardson rested yesterday, he worked the NZ/WI T20 on Wednesday, the HRV T20 Finals on Friday and Saturday and is back on The Crowd Goes Wild this week.

Sky Sport's coverage will probably be a bit mix and match over the next few weeks anyway with their coverage of the Winter Olympics being thrown into the mix

Agree with the Nisbitt comments, always good to hear him on cricket.

Last night (Sunday 19th January), BBC Two Wales broadcast a Scrum V Special on the state of Welsh rugby union. The programme was a Question Time-style panel debate on the various issues facing the WRU and the four Welsh regions, filmed from the usual Scrum V Sunday studio but in front of a studio audience made up of executives and committee members from the WRU, the regions, clubs and community teams plus sports lawyers, players and supporters of teams from Wales, England and Ireland.

Gareth Lewis chaired the debate with the panel consisting of WRU chief executive Roger Lewis, RFU acting CEO Martyn Thomas, Newport Gwent Dragons chief executive Gareth Davies and Paul Rees, rugby union correspondent of The Guardian and The Observer. The debate was preceded by a brief report on the issues affecting the Welsh game voiced by Gareth Charles.

Contributions from the audience included outspoken comments from David Moffett, formerly the chief executive of both the WRU and Regional Rugby Wales, who has claimed that he can broker an agreement between the two parties within ten days. Scarlets chief executive Mark Davies - currently appearing in BBC One Wales documentary series The Scarlets - and Welsh Rugby Players Association president Rhys Williams also added to the debate.

Fantastic to see Gareth Lewis presenting Scrum V again - he is an outstanding sports journalist and broadcaster. As much as I like Jason Mohammad and Ross Harries, Lewis was the best moderator they could have chosen for a debate of this kind. He might have a gentle manner but he was really proficient at cutting through a lot of the nonsense, especially important when getting the evasive Lewis and combustible Moffett to get to the point, and knows when to ask the pressing questions. He did very well at steering proceedings.

Quite simply, the show is a must-watch for anyone interested in the off-field developments in northern hemisphere rugby union: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode...rum_V_Special/

BBC Tennis- The Australian Open

Men's Semi Final- Nadal vs Federer

Presenter: Sue Barker

Commentators: Andrew Castle and John Lloyd

Women's Final- Li vs Cibulkova

Presenter: Sue Barker

Commentators: Jonathan Overend and John Lloyd

Great to hear Jonathan Overend being used on TV after he gave up the role of BBC tennis correspondent last year; he was a superlative radio commentator and it's good to see he isn't being wasted. He is also down to commentate on the David cup ties for the BBC next week, which suggests (hopefully) he'll have a pretty prominent role for BBC TV at Wimbledon.

It'll be Andrew Castle and John Lloyd for the Men's final tomorrow.

JO is also reporting on Man City v Watford on Five Live this afternoon. The commentary team for this morning's tennis made no attempt to hide the fact that the commentary was from the UK.

Castle has been used on Eurosport,Sky, and BBC in the past 6 months.
it will be interesting if they use their studio for Davis cup, or if they fly out, and hopefully Tim Henman is used too, hes normally used for Aussie Open too...

Since they've reduced their coverage on the Australian Open I don't think Henman has been used for it which, frankly, I think is a good thing. He adds very little to the broadcast.

Quite agree. Henman is dull and boring. Castle is shocking and thinks he is so much better than he is. I do like John Lloyd though, really rate him.

Sunday 26th January - BBC Two Wales

Scrum V: Six Nations Special

Ross Harries presented alongside Jeremy Guscott, Jonathan Davies, Martyn Williams and Paul Wallace

Stat Pad (analysis of Wales under Warren Gatland and previews of the games against Italy, France and Scotland) - Sean Holley
Preview of the Wales teams in the Under-20 and Women's Six Nations - Lowri Morgan
Feature on the 1914 Ireland v Wales game from Belfast and Dublin - Eddie Butler (included interviews with Paul Wallace and Shane Byrne plus journalists Gerry Thornley and Graham Little previewing this year's game)
Interview with Phil Vickery previewing England v Wales - Rick O'Shea

The programme also included an opening montage voiced by Eddie Butler, interviews from the Six Nations press launch and a closing montage from Briton Ferry RFC on the 125th anniversary of the club.

The programme was broadcast from the bar-like studio used for last year's Scrum V: Six Nations Special with a live studio audience from various Welsh clubs. The only difference was that Sean Holley did his two Stat Pad features out-of-vision rather than from the usual Scrum V Sunday studio. It'll be interesting to see if Ross presents these shows when the Six Nations actually begins or if Jason Mohammad hosts them as he did last year.

Nice to see Scrum V going the extra mile and getting every home nation represented there in the line up except Scotland. Scott Hastings is always free.

Knowing him, to get maximum voice coverage he'd clone himself I'm sure!

British Eurosport's coverage was presented by Rob Curling with Virginia Wade and Greg Rusedski.

David Mercer and Jo Durie commentated on the Ladies final. Chris Bradnam was with Mats Wilander (set 1) and Free McMillan (sets 2-4) for the mens final.

Chris Bradnam was on BT Sport (BT debut I think) today covering the WTA event in Paris. Also on were Guy McCrea, Nigel Sears and Anne Keothavong.

Excellent coverage as always by Eurosport.

I wonder what happened to Simon Reed. He was as prominent as Bradnam & Mercer in the 1st week but i don't think I heard him at all in the 2nd week.

Not surprised Chris Bradnam has been used by BT Sport. He's my favourite tennis commentator and always provides a knowledgeable, insightful, exciting and humorous commentary peppered with fantastic anecdotes and always has a great rapport with his co-commentator (especially Jo Durie).
