Sunday 4th May - BBC Two Wales

Scrum V Sunday

Ross Harries presented alongside Jonathan Davies and Robert Jones

RaboDirect Pro12
Scarlets v Newport Gwent Dragons - Gareth Charles, Jonathan Davies and Martyn Williams
Connacht v Cardiff Blues - Phil Steele
Zebre v Ospreys - Cennydd Davies and Garth Llewellyn (as S4C Red Button)
Ulster v Leinster & Treviso v Glasgow Warriors - Ross Harries (reporting)

Interview with Cory Allen - Ross Harries
Report on the Gnoll and Creunant primary schools in Neath filming their own version of Scrum V (included an interview with Dan Biggar) - Phil Steele

Right at the very end of the programme, Ross Harries voiced some clips from SWALEC Finals Day at the Millennium Stadium - very brief highlights from CRCC v Llantwit Major in the Bowl Final and Merthyr v Rhiwbina in the Plate Final, plus an early try from Pontypridd v Cross Keys in the main SWALEC Cup Final taken directly from S4C's live coverage, with the match still ongoing as Scrum V Sunday reached its conclusion. I guess they might show fuller highlights of those games on next weekend's show (which, with no Welsh regions in the Pro12 playoffs, could be the last of the season), what with the Principality Premiership regular season having come to an end.

The feature about Cory Allen included a clip of his Try of the Tournament from the 2013 Hong Kong Sevens, getting the caption "courtesy of IRB" with Nigel Starmer-Smith's world feed commentary on it being kept in.

Bath v Quins was always going to be the big game, as it's the only non-dead rubber. I have to say I'm surprised (and disappointed) that Sarries v Tigers is not being shown out of the remaining dead-rubber clashes though.
I think most people expected BT to pick Tigers/Sarries but I can see why they picked the other match. Northampton still need to get something from the game to guarantee a home semi-final while Leicester and Saracens may well hold a few players back ahead of the play-offs

European Rugby Champions Cup Playoff

London Wasps v Stade Français (first leg)
Sunday 18 May, 15:00 - live on BT Sport

Stade Français v London Wasps (second leg)
Saturday 24 May, 13:45 - live on Sky Sports

As expected the games are shared, with BT getting Wasps' home leg. It seems to fit nicely alongside BT's Premiership semi final coverage with Sky getting their game just before they show the Heineken Cup final.

I'd like to know if there's an equivalent of the away goals rule in this playoff - we don't usually have two-legged ties so I have no idea.

No away goals rule type thing. Ties are more unlikely after two legs, if it did end being all square on aggregate, i'm sure extra time would kick in. Will be Parker Pen Shield days all over again!

Will probably depend on where the final is, don't think they've got as far as agreeing a host yet (Milan was the location for an ERC final next season) let alone agreeing who'll be the host broadcaster

If I had to guess though I imagine it would be something like if it was in England it'd be BT while if it was in Scotland or Wales it would be Sky Sports

Here's who'll be broadcasting what on the final day of the RaboDirect Pro12 regular season, with all matches kicking off at 6.30pm on Saturday:

Glasgow Warriors v Zebre - BBC Alba
Leinster v Edinburgh - TG4
Munster v Ulster - RTE Two and BBC Two Northern Ireland
Ospreys v Connacht - BBC Two Wales
Scarlets v Cardiff Blues - S4C

They'll be no live coverage of Newport Gwent Dragons v Treviso on UK TV. I'm not sure if Mediaset in Italy will televise that game and/or Glasgow v Zebre, neither game appears to be scheduled going by their online listings.

As for the Pro12 Play-Offs, it'll be interesting to see if BBC Two Wales or S4C broadcast a semi-final match seeing as it now looks highly unlikely that a Welsh region will make the top four, which would be the first time this has happened since the Play-Offs were created. In previous years, the top semi-final has been on BBC Two Wales and the final on S4C in even numbered years, with the reverse being the case in odd numbered years. I hope this continues this year, as it'll be good for S4C's retiring commentator Huw Llywelyn Davies to bow out with a final.

Ha. I always say that Rugby Union fans always call the game Rugby whereas us League fans always say Union or League

Onto cricket. Anybody know who the Aussie is on the IPL commentary team please ?

Saturday 10th May - BBC Two Wales

Scrum V Live: Ospreys v Connacht

Ross Harries presenting from the Liberty Stadium alongside Dafydd James and Martyn Williams (the latter heading to the analysis truck to update tonight's other Pro12 games)

Commentators: Gareth Charles and Jonathan Davies

Reporter: Phil Steele

S4C

Y Clwb Rygbi: Scarlets v Cardiff Blues

Gareth Roberts presenting from Parc y Sgarlets alongside Dafydd Jones and Rhodri Gomer-Davies

Commentators: Huw Llywelyn Davies and Gwyn Jones

Reporter: Owain Gwynedd

I'm not sure who is on English language Red Button commentary duty for S4C. I don't think BBC Two Wales have a Welsh language equivalent today due to their various other Red Button commitments including the Eurovision Song Contest. Anyone know if the Wales Probables v Possibles game at the Liberty Stadium on Friday 30th May is likely to be televised?

Nothing definite as yet, although for some reason Digiguide lists BBC 1 Wales as showing Six Nations games the day after (31st May)

Aviva Premiership Rugby (Final Round) - Saturday 10 May (BT Sport)

As mentioned already all 6 matches kicked off simultaneously, with Quins v Bath on BT Sport 1 and Saints v Wasps on BT Sport 2.

Harlequins v Bath (BT Sport 1)

Craig Doyle presenting from the studio alongside Lawrence Dallaglio and Jacques Burger.

Commentators: Nick Mullins, Ben Kay & Austin Healey

Reporter: Sarra Elgan

Northampton Saints v London Wasps (BT Sport 2)

Martin Bayfield presenting from Franklin's Gardens alongside Joe Simpson.

Commentators: Alastair Eykyn & Matt Dawson

BT Sport 2's coverage was a little low-rent today with no separate reporter (Ali Eykyn did pre-match interviews and Martin Bayfield did half-time ones - I didn't see if there was anything at full time) and only one co-comm. I had expected Jill Douglas to report and a former (or maybe current) forward to join Ali and Matt in commentary.

Thanks very much for both bits of information Ian.

Alun Jenkins commentated on S4C's highlights of Ospreys v Connacht during their half hour post-match segment. An on-screen graphic noted that S4C will be showing both Pro12 Semi-Finals, while over on BBC Two Wales Ross Harries mentioned that the Pro12 Grand Final would be the last Scrum V Live game of the season. I'm not sure if that match will be exclusive (as far as the Welsh channels are concerned, naturally) to BBC Two Wales or if S4C will be able to screen it live as well.

Eurosport have had 5 cycling stages from different races in the last 24 hours.

Can anyone list the commentators and co-commentators for each, to see how they divvied them up?

As part of the show's closing montage, clips were shown from a fundraiser at Parc y Sgarlets where Jake Ball had his beard shaved off.
