Rishi Persard some all rounder if he isn't reporting or presenting on CH4 Racing he almost is always on BBC Sport every weekend!
And he - along with Clare Balding - will be part of the BBC team covering the Commonwealth Games next week, meaning C4 will be without two of their main presenters for two of the biggest meetings of the summer; the King George meeting at Ascot on 26th July, with 5 days of Glorious Goodwood commencing the following Tuesday.

It appears from twitter that Glenn McCrory has left Sky's boxing coverage after more than 20 years.

Tuesday 15th July - MLB International and ESPN UK

The 85th Annual Major League Baseball All-Star Game: National League @ American League

Commentators: Gary Thorne and Rick Sutcliffe

ESPN UK carried Major League Baseball's international feed of this year's All-Star Game rather than Fox's domestic telecast in the United States, as was the case with last year's World Series. We did hear from Fox's Joe Buck (doing the traditional player introductions) and Erin Andrews (conducting the post-game interview with the All-Star Game MVP) in the places you'd expect though. Happily, like with the Home Run Derby, live coverage was streamed on BT Sport's online and mobile app platforms as opposed to being blocked due to rights restrictions.

Towards the end of the broadcast, Gary suggested that he and Rick would be back to commentate on this year's World Series and whichever League Championship Series they'll be covering for MLB International in October. This is not a great surprise given that Thorne and Sutcliffe have been their regular commentary team for many years now, but it was nice to have it semi-confirmed anyway.

One small point of note regarding the MLB International feed, as those of you who've watched All-Star and/or World Series games on British television at some point over the past 17 years will probably know, the world feed pictures take different (digitally projected) advertising on the main hoarding behind home plate to those shown on Fox's domestic broadcast. Last night, I couldn't help but notice how the vast majority of these advertisements were in Hiragana or Katakana for the Japanese audience - a reminder if one was needed how popular the sport is in Japan.

Excellent. I think C4 do swimming really well. Bob Ballard and Karen Pickering are superb.

I quite like the Saffas if I'm honest, and Pearce is a lot more exciting than Hugh Bladen, who is so monotone it's quite funny. Worst of the 3 are the NZers IMO, although maybe I'm not in the mood for Justin Marshall at 8am.

Grant Nisbett is a bit droll but their secondary main comm (can't remember his name) is decent enough. Apart from a bit of Aussie bias - I do like Greg Clark and co on Fox.

Personally, I've really enjoyed Sky Sport New Zealand's rugby union coverage when I've seen it in the past. Justin Marshall in particular is excellent as a co-commentator, he speaks with authority and clarity but is entertaining with it. Fox Sports Australia's rugby coverage has been good when I've caught it as well, but I agree with Callum in that the SuperSport coverage can be a bit on the bland side.

Dan Walker was excruciating at times - with his mumbo jumbo social media malark like at the World Cup - one or two cringy interviews too. Not quite Michael Vaughan though!

Let's get the commentary on the road

Commonwealth Games - Lawn Bowls
Guernsey v NZ Men - Triples: David Corkhill & Kelsey Cottrell
England v Canada Women - Fours Paul Mitchell and John Price

I'd presume the former is a 'world feed' commentary. Interesting to see what is BBC's commentaries and what aren't. Obviously some BBC names will be utilised as both.
