Does that mean he'll just do a voiceover though?

Well if Lewis Moody is providing punditry i would assume that he would be in vision, however he has had interview practice (at wimbledon for example) so he should be fine, Jason Mohammed will be busy with Final Score and the fact that it is the FA Cup first Round so that is why he wont be available, have to say that i am surprised that they didnt use Ross Harries though.

"And commentary on this match came from Brian Moore and...myself."
They don't even have ad breaks for him to transfer between being presenter and commentator.

Chris Hollins is mostly a BBC guy, isn't he? He's been doing Champions Cup rugby for BT and could do it (and would be an English voice if they ruled out Ross Harries based on him working predominantly for BBC Wales).

Dont think that Chris Hollins has done any work for BBC Sport, the only BBC work he has done since leaving BBC Breakfast is Watchdog. Seeing that Ross Harries has done some matches before on BBC (i think it was either at the 6 Nations this year, or one of the autumn internationals last year) it would be reasonable for him to be there though.

Cotter has done VT's and stuff before so this basically a Hi and Bye link with a little pitchside analysis - basically done outwith the commbox. For a highlights show pretty straight forward.

They will cleverly do it so If Cotter does a piece to camera at the start they will prob have a pre-game interview then it cuts to him in the commbox... Or likely it could be the programme starts with Cotter in the box - then highlights - then interviews - then pitchside analysis.

I could be wrong but I'm sure Cotter done some sports bulletins on TV when he was at STV.

I'm fairly sure Chris Hollins has worked for BBC Sport as reporter on Final Score and perhaps also as a voiceover reporter on FA Cup editions of Match of the Day during the early to mid 2000s. But, sports news bulletins aside, I think that's as far as it goes in this respect.

Ross Harries presented the BBC network coverage of Ireland v Wales from Dublin in the 2014 Six Nations, which took place during the Winter Olympics when the likes of Gabby Logan and Jason Mohammad were away in Sochi for that. He also presented the Scrum V Six Nations Specials because of Mohammad's other commitments and was a reporter on UK-wide coverage of Wales home games in the Six Nations and last year's Autumn Internationals.

As he's not regularly involved in BBC Radio Wales/Cymru's coverage of Wales internationals (as someone like lead commentator Gareth Charles is, which probably precludes him from doing "Super Saturday" games for instance), it would be reasonable to involve him in their England highlights programmes should they not need him as a reporter in Cardiff. Alternatively Gareth Lewis, the previous regular Scrum V presenter who covered for Ross during his recent paternity leave, would be a strong candidate too.

Purely and simply, Hollins wanted nothing to do with Salford, where the BBC Sport HQ is and he refused to go when Breakfast moved up there.

For S4C we had Gareth Roberts hosting not so far way from the Male voice choir, with Dwayne Peel (dressed Jeremy Clarkson style with Jeans and Jacket), Deiniol Jones and Ken Owens. Commentary was from Gareth Charles and Dr. Gwyn Jones with Dot Davies on reporting duties.

Not impressed with ABB. Bit better than McNamara who decided to give inane facts instead of describing play but ABB was very dithery and half a yard behind, stumbled over a number of decisions.

The BBC are never going to hang on to a decent English rugby commentator whilst they only have their Six Nations games and November highlights. Compare this to Wales where they have a club fixture every week (two if you consider S4C's game whose coverage BBC Wales produce), Six Nations and live November tests. It's no surprise that they lost Mullins and Eykyn to where the English games are.

I thought Ali Bruce-Ball was pretty decent in the Six Nations but seemed worse yesterday (throught the half an ear I had on the Sco-Arg game). Why Cotter didn't do the game I don't really know...

I didn't catch the game bit that sounds like total overkill to me. No idea why the BBC feel the need to include Wood and Matthews now there's no Irish game.
