Although having said that Brotherton is good on the Football, but I can't take to him on the cycling! He can make the most exciting race sound boring

Saturday 21st February - Channel 5

WBA, IBO and interim WBC World Middlewight Championship Match: Gennady Golovkin v Martin Murray

Mark Pougatch presented alongside Steve Collins and Richie Woodhall

Commentators: Dave Farrar and Al Bernstein

Channel 5's presentation came from the BT Sport studios, although Farrar and Bernstein were at ringside in Monte Carlo (and appeared in-vision prior to the fight). They took a post-fight interview with Murray conducted by an overseas broadcaster, which I imagine will have either been HBO or SuperSport (who were covering the event in the USA and sub-Saharan Africa respectively).

Prior to the main event, Channel 5 showed the undercard bout between Lee Haskins and Omar Lamiri for the European Bantamweight Championship in full as-live, and showed clips from that and Hughie Fury's fight in the final part of their coverage.

Was a strange set up at these Championships. On a couple of days Brotherton and Boardman did all session, then on the Thursday they used some of the World Feed with Ant McCrossan while Boardman and Brotherton dipped in and out. Then on the Saturday Ali Bruce-Ball took over when Brotherton returned (presumably for Match of the Day)

There was a lot of this chopping and changing of commentators during the recent winter sports on BBC Red Button. Sometimes 'world feed', sometimes BBC commentator from Salford, sometimes at the event and nearly always a different one used on the Ski Sunday highlights.

TV3 have announced some on their team for the Rugby Union World Cup.

At the launch rugby coaching guru Matt Williams, ex-Irish international scrum half Peter Stringer and former British and Irish Lions player Stuart Barnes were announced as part of TV3’s team of analysts joining former Irish captain Keith Wood.

They will be joined by soon-to-be retired Leinster flanker Shane Jennings, former Ireland international rugby union player Hugo MacNeill and legendary English World Cup winning flanker Neil Back.

Irish sports commentator Conor McNamara, former Munster academy member Murray Kinsella and rugby analyst Liam Toland join Matt Cooper and TV3’s own Sinead Kissane on the broadcaster’s presentation team.

Hang on, this is now correct. It's Butler not Cotter in Edinburgh.

Butler sadly/clearly no where near top gear of enthusiasm about today's game and was very much going through the motions ahead of tomorrow.

IBF World Super Bantamweight Championship Match: Carl Frampton v Chris Avalos

Mark Pougatch presented from the Odyssey Arena, Belfast alongside Al Bernstein and David Haye

Commentators: Ronald McIntosh and Al Bernstein

Reporter: Gabriel Clarke

Richie Woodhall was pictured at ringside prior to the main event, with him billed as being on hand for analysis, but he didn't contribute to the commentary at all. Perhaps he would have started to chip in had the fight lasted for longer. During the final half hour of their coverage when they began to review the undercard, Woodhall replaced Haye alongside Pougatch and Bernstein for punditry as Haye went to talk to Frampton and the McGuigans.

Pougatch presented ITV4's coverage of the undercard alongside Bernstein and Bernard Dunne. McIntosh and Woodhall commentated on Conrad Cummings v Roberto Palenzuela and Dillian Whyte v Beka Lobjanidze, while McIntosh and Bernstein commentated on Anthony Cacace v Santiago Bustos and Denton Vassell v Viktor Plotnykov, plus Marco McCullough v Malkhaz Tatrishvili which took place before they went on-air but was shown in full towards the end of the ITV4 broadcast. The decisive rounds of most of the undercard fights were shown on ITV's coverage after the conclusion of the Frampton fight.

For S4C we had Gareth Roberts hosting with Shane Williams, Deiniol Jones and Dafydd Jones, with commentary from Gareth Charles and Dr. Gwyn Jones, with Dot Davies on reporting duty.

For the Under 20 game afterwards, Gareth still hosted form the Stade de France, doing small pieces with Dafydd Jones. Rhodri Lewellyn was commentating, but can't remember who was next to him.

Yeah, though Jiffy was officially "analyst" and we only heard him a couple of times during the match, pre-match and at half time.
