Jacqui Oatley is joining ITV on a more regular basis next season, she will be the number 2 presenter and more interestingly for this page the darts coverage.

Seems a bit strange, I thought Matt Smith would still be used on a freelance basis but after his tweets last week it obviously wasn't his choice.

Technically 25 years for Sky will come next year. It was for BSB Sport Channel 25 years ago, Wakefield v Wigan 1st April 1990.

If it was 1991 then this is the 25th year so that is correct.

It says the "25th anniversary" not "the 25th year", and the video specifically refers to their coverage as beginning on April 1st, 1990 on the old "BSkyB (sic) Sports Channel".

It does seem odd they are now including The Sports Channel as being the same service after ignoring it a few years ago when they celebrated twenty years of Sky Sports.

Although personally I thought they were wrong to have excluded it then, as "Sky Sports" was just a rebranding coinciding with its launch on Astra.

I guess they class BSB as Sky, i remember having that ( all those years ago ). Jeff Stelling was on it, and Garry Richardson

Sadly the link won't work for me

Sunday 5th April - ESPN2

St. Louis Cardinals @ Chicago Cubs (8pm ET) - Dan Shulman, John Kruk and Curt Schilling, with Buster Olney reporting

Monday 6th April - ESPN & ESPN2

Opening Day Baseball on ESPN

Adnan Virk presented the pre-game edition of Baseball Tonight from Bristol, Connecticut alongside Eric Wedge, Eduardo Perez and Tim Kurkjian on ESPN

Hakem Dervish presented the post-game edition of Baseball Tonight from Bristol, Connecticut alongside Eric Wedge and Eduardo Perez on ESPN2

Toronto Blue Jays @ New York Yankees (1pm ET, ESPN) - Sean McDonough, Aaron Boone and Mark Mulder
New York Mets @ Washington Nationals (4pm ET, ESPN) - Karl Ravech, John Kruk and Curt Schilling, with Buster Olney reporting
Cleveland Indians @ Houston Astros (7pm ET, ESPN) - Jon Sciambi and Rick Sutcliffe, with Doug Glanville providing fieldside analysis
San Francisco Giants @ Arizona Diamondbacks (10pm ET, ESPN2) - Dave Flemming and Dallas Braden

Wednesday 8th April - ESPN2

Wednesday Night Baseball on ESPN

Adnan Virk presented Baseball Tonight alongside Eric Wedge and Eduardo Perez, with Chris Singleton linking to in-game updates

Boston Red Sox @ Philadelphia Phillies (7pm ET) - Dave O'Brien, Aaron Boone and Mark Mulder
San Diego Padres @ Los Angeles Dodgers (10pm ET) - Jon Sciambi and Rick Sutcliffe, with Doug Glanville providing fieldside analysis

In the UK, ESPN UK provided live coverage of five of ESPN USA's seven Opening Week MLB telecasts, with all of them being streamed on the BT Sport app and website. The two later Opening Day games (from Houston and Arizona) were broadcast on BT Sport 1 and were not streamed online. This is an upgrade from last year, when only the first one of the four back-to-back Opening Day games shown on the BT Sport channels was streamed online.

A pre-season press release on the ESPN Mediazone website (I would link to it, but they never seem to work from that site on here) has confirmed the ESPN MLB announcing teams for the new season, which are:

Sunday Night Baseball - Dan Shulman, John Kruk and Curt Schilling, with Buster Olney reporting
Monday Night Baseball - Dave O'Brien and Aaron Boone, with Mark Mulder during the first half of the season and Dallas Braden during the second half of the season
Wednesday Night Baseball - Jon Sciambi and Rick Sutcliffe, with Doug Glanville providing fieldside analysis

It's not confirmed whether Tim Kurkjian (MNB) or Pedro Gomez (WNB) will be returning to their weeknight fieldside reporting roles of past years. Doug Glanville has a slight different role as a co-commentator to most, as while he works as part of a three-man commentary team he doesn't join his colleagues in the booth, but rather sits somewhere fieldside. ESPN are planning to have a few editions of Wednesday Night Baseball with a commentator and four analysts all in different parts of the stadium, something they did at least once last year.

With Barry Larkin having left ESPN during the close season to try to break into MLB management, the Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown team at Wrigley Field on Opening Day of Karl Ravech, Aaron Boone and Tim Kurkjian will be the regular trio on that show this season. It's a programme I highly recommend; even if you are not stopping up for Sunday Night Baseball, it's a really strong hour-long overview of the other 14 Sunday matches.

Friday 10th April - BBC Two Wales and BBC Red Button

Scrum V Live: Treviso v Ospreys

Ross Harries presenting from the studio alongside Robert Jones and Sean Holley

Commentators: Gareth Charles and Carlo Del Fava

Reporter: Phil Steele

There's no Welsh language alternative commentary on the Red Button tonight, which may or may not have anything to do with how the first half hour of Scrum V Live has been bumped from Freeview channel 601 in order to accommodate video coverage of a Radio 5 Live special on AP McCoy's horse racing career.
