I think this is the first time Sky and BT have gone head-to-head on the same event.

Host commentary is Sky I think by the way.

Yes Sky has the sweep noises in their replay transistions, they are HB. Also BT clipped into first 2 or 3 seconds of Bill Latham's MOTM interview.

Do you think it's Sky as the HB for both or do they get a final each?

Wouldn't surprise me if it's BT tomorrow. Clearly Sky seem to get the goodies/picks in the Challenge Cup in tv deal wise and BT in the Heineken Cup.

Looks like BT are HB for this (going by things like no replay noises etc on Sky) but having both on for 10 mins or so they are both feeding in some seperate replays themselves at different times and both must have their own DOG's as although the main straps are being shared their clocks are displaying sometimes different info/phases at different times.

I think the graphics look a bit more Sky myself as far as popups go (I'm watching with BT) but it's hard to tell. Some of the camera work was a little nauseating in the first few minutes of the match though, and as a regular BT viewer it didn't look much like BT's normal Premiership coverage (although I'm not sure if it's representative of Sky's normal quality either).

Definately as the first half has gone it's certinaly BT's world feed. Last night Sky's replay sfx was in at every replay but tonight it's only during their 'own' cut away replays.

World IAAF Relays, Bahamas

Martin Gillingham and Chris Dennis for British Eurosport 2 (Day 1 Live only)

They also announced it'll be them (with Tim Hutchings) at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing in August, as well as Martin reminiscing about the time he was told not to use the 'new' in front of 'World record' when he worked at Athletics Weekly.

For those of us who didn't make it to 5am, would someone post the details of the SKY coverage of the 'fight of the century' last night?

Thanks

There seemed to be about 4 voices, one of which was John Rawling.

Saturday 2nd May - Showtime and HBO PPV

WBA, WBC and WBO World Welterweight Championship Match: Floyd Mayweather Jr v Manny Pacquiao

James Brown presented from the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada alongside Lennox Lewis and Paulie Malignaggi

Commentators: Jim Lampley, Al Bernstein and Roy Jones Jr

Unofficial in-fight scorers: Steve Farhood and Harold Lederman

Reporters: Jim Gray (with Mayweather) and Max Kellerman (with Pacquiao)

With the pay-per-view being a joint production between HBO and Showtime, we had a combination of their two boxing broadcast teams involved in the telecast - Lampley, Jones, Lederman and Kellerman being from HBO, Malignaggi, Bernstein, Farhood and Gray being from Showtime. Lennox Lewis is formerly a regular analyst (and before that a fighter) on HBO, while host James Brown has covered boxing for both broadcasters in the past and currently hosts NFL coverage on Showtime and its over-the-air partner CBS.

I don't have the full Sky Sports Box Office coverage details, but I do know their commentary team was Nick Halling and Jim Watt, with Carl Froch providing "special comments" after the third, seventh, tenth and final rounds. They will have used the in-ring interviews from the US PPV, with Johnny Nelson in Las Vegas as their presenter and Fraser Dainton on hand as their reporter. I don't know who they would have used as pundits, but do know that Glenn McCrory, Amir Khan and Paulie Malignaggi were all involved in their coverage at some point.

Confirmation that it will be Leicester-Northampton on BTS1 (build-up from 15:00) and Exeter-Sale on BTS2 (build-up from 15:15) next Saturday in AP Round 22. All matches kick off at 15:30.

There will be some annoyed fans in the West Country who will have been hoping to get to see Bath-Gloucester, but really the choice was simple - these plus Saracens-Welsh are the only games with anything riding on them now.
