To be honest I don't mind Eddie too much, it is one or two of the others who get my goat. Stevo is shocking and Phil "Mr Wigan" Clarke isn't high on my list either.

Since the other thread on this line has been closed I'll post it here......

ESPN have followed the BBC's lead and given up their Open Championship rights a year early. NBC/Golf Channel will take over from next year

OK, maybe not then. Giving Gillingham the Home Nation rather than the France game (even with the opponents being Argentina rather than NZ) is a bit of a surprise, especially given the fact that he's been covering the Top 14 for years.

Interesting to see Quinlan come in, because of course now I think about it Murphy will have to go back to coach at Tigers. I can't help but wish they'd used Quinlan from the start though.

Yes, also interesting that whilst Nick Mullins would presumably have got the England match, had they made it through, they have now given him the only match not involving a home nation. Whilst it is Saturday prime-time and has the heavyweight pundits, Inverdale is not hosting it and it may well be the most one-sided of the four quarter-finals (Come on Scotland!)

I presume there was an agreement that Jon Champion would have a Sunday match so he could work for Absolute on the Saturday.

I'm surprised that Champion and Gillingham are getting any games at all, although Sky and BT would probably want the services of Miles Harrison and Nick Mullins respectively with club rugby returning as normal.

Wouldn't affect it this weekend. Mullins in Cardiff takes him out of BT's game on Saturday and Sky only have a Pro12 game on Friday evening

I'm with you both though in that I'm surprised to see all four main comms used, would have just reckoned on 1 team in Cardiff and one in Twickenham

Will be interesting to see how he goes, not that I'm likely to get a chance to see that game live on TV.
