To add to this, technically they haven't shown every PGA Tour event as Sky didn't cover the Barracuda Championship (and never tend to opposite the WGC) last weekend live. They did show the PGA productions highlights as standard though.

Although I am pleased that despite having the Open Championship, they are still going to air coverage of the Barbasol Championship alternate PGA event. I thought they might patch it, as always thought they only showed it due to not having it.

Do we know who Eurosport are using for the European Athletics Champs ? Jonathan Edwards is host I believe and I expect Tim Hutchings and Stuart Storey to be involved but they have some long old shifts so maybe more

Looks like Storey has replaced Tim Hutchings, who judging by his Twitter feed is working for NBC this week and at the Olympics

Nice to hear Storey back on a major competition

I have to be honest I think he is on the wain. Always been a huge fan of Stuart but he has made more than the odd mistake this week. Martin Gillingham has been excellent

Like you, I always liked Stuart in his BBC days but his performance this week has been pretty poor. He and Martin Gillingham have made so many mistakes it has been almost cringe worthy at times. Makes you appreciate how good Steve Cram is although, to be fair, I suspect the person I am really missing is Mark Butler, the BBC athletics statistician.

He is the behind the scenes guy who keeps Steve Cram and the rest of the BBC team up to date with all the facts. Eurosport operate on such a small budget, I am not sure of they have an equivalent role.

I wasn't watching all the coverage but when I did Gillingham didn't get much wrong. Thought he made a good job of this afternoon's track finals.

The Open - Sky Sports 1/4

David Livingstone presents from Royal Troon with Sarah Stirk also in the studio at the touchscreen.

Comms/pundits: Ewen Murray, Richard Boxall, Butch Harmon, Nick Faldo, Paul McGinley, Ian Poulter, Nick Dougherty, Colin Montgomerie
On Course: Wayne Riley, Rich Beem, Howard Clark and Andrew Coltart
Reporters/Interviewers: Sarah Stirk and Tim Barter
Shot Centre: Claude Harmon III

Rob Lee is back in the London studio presenting the highlights show with Mark Roe and Gary Wolstenholme.

PGA TOUR: Barbasol Championship - SS4
Rob Lee presenting the coverage in the studio again with Mark Roe and Gary Wolstenholme.

Coverage is coming from the Golf Channel of Whit Watson, Lanny Wadkins, Craig Perks, Phil Blackmar and Gary Christian.

Shame Lee isn't commentating at the Open though after being in Troon earlier this week. Especially as it seems Murray/Boxall are the only real 'leads' throughout the entire day. Really grown to like Lee and it is good he can present and commentate. I'd of flung James Haddock on the Studio-based stuff. Major respect though for Sky showing the Barbasol alongside the Open. Shame they didn't show the Barracuda on the red button a few weeks back alongside the WGC.

I reckon Nick Dougherty is getting groomed to take over from Ewan Murray as lead commentator one day. Seems a absolute natural infront of the camera

Also its sad to hear Bruce Critcthley struggle nowadays. Reckon he's only there for nostalgic purposes as he been getting pushed down the pecking order the past few year

Didn't hear Critchley yesterday so missed him from the above, but is featuring now. Di Dougherty has been flying around too talking to punters all week. First time i've seen her on golf for years, she was pretty terrible at it.

I hope Nick Dougherty isn't a future number 1. Rather give it to Lee who could do the David Gower role of presenter/commentator when Livingstone and Murray retire.
