Channel 4 probably think that The Simpsons fans have the decency to let them show the Paralympics instead for a week and a half.

Surprise Surprise Andrew Castle yet again described Andy Murray to the most eminent sports person that the UK has ever had. Due to the rain no play is underway yet, but if you want an Andy Murray love fest then BBC 2 is the place to be.”

BBC are in Salford

I'm sure the other day when the coverage of the first rubber ended on the red button is was Jonathan Overend and not Castle doing it

Castle was the commentator before the rain delays came in. I think they switched comms once broadcast on BBC 2 had finished.

Monday 11th July - ESPN (USA) and BT Sport//ESPN (UK)

Major League Baseball: Home Run Derby 2016

Primary commentary team: Chris Berman, Jessica Mendoza and Aaron Boone

Secondary commentary team/Baseball Tonight presentation team: Karl Ravech, Dallas Braden and Tim Kurkjian, with Eduardo Perez fieldside

Reporters: Pedro Gomez, with Buster Olney during Baseball Tonight

It was a slightly different commentary set-up for the Home Run Derby this year, with the main Chris Berman-lead trio commentating on one batter in most of the ties, with the Karl Ravech-lead quartet calling the batter opening the ties, although Berman's crew handled the whole of the opening match-up and the final.

Live coverage was followed by highlights of the earlier MLB Legends & Celebrity Softball All-Star Game, with commentary coming from Adnan Virk and Eduardo Perez.

Tuesday 12th July - Fox (USA)

The 87th Annual Major League Baseball All-Star Game: American League v National League

Chris Myers presented from Petco Park, San Diego alongside Pete Rose, Frank Thomas and Tom Verducci

Commentators: Joe Buck and John Smoltz

Reporters: Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci

Pregame Ceremonies: Joe Buck, Matt Vasgersian and Dick Enberg

Buck did the pregame player introductions, Vasgersian voiced the video packages that were played into them, while Fox Sports San Diego's Padres announcer Enberg handled the ceremonial events on the field. Chris Myers stood in for Kevin Burkhardt as Fox's host as the former was unwell.

BT Sport 1 carried the MLB International coverage of the All-Star Game, with commentary from Matt Vasgersian and Mark DeRosa. All of the MLB All-Star events were available on the BT Sport website and app to subscribers.

BBC Sport - Open Championship Highlights

Presented by Hazel Irvine

Commentary from Peter Allis, Ken Brown, Andrew Cotter, Mark James (Days 1 and 2) and Wayne Grady (Days 3 and 4).

Interviews by Rishi Persad.

A surprise return for Wayne Grady to the BBC commentary box. I wonder if this was planned or if something happened to Mark James, anyone know?

Also Rishi's interviews were done by a 'The Open' branded mike rather than a BBC Sport one, does anyone know were these interviews being used by the R&A website or world feed or something?

Mark James was on the world feed - of what I heard - on Sunday. So maybe planned.

Really enjoyed the call of Dougie Donnelly on the winning putt of Stenson.

Jim Watt has retired. Excellent boxing summariser in his day, maybe could have been pulled out one or two rounds earlier but will be missed all the same.
http://www.skysports.com/boxing/news...ts-commentator

Question is whether Sky will have a new number one summariser, or if they will rotate between the other names they use such as Glenn McCrory, Paul Smith, Matthew Macklin and Paulie Malignaggi.
