Some interesting thoughts on the act of commentary from Nick Mullins:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z70qhsdiXKQ Going on from that (in an almost opposite point) - he seemed to be slightly against the three man commentary teams saying it means that the air time between 3 commentators is all a bit 'crammed' and leaves very little for the pictures to breath. |

Sunday 25th September - BBC Two
Champions League of Darts Jason Mohammad presented from the Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff alongside Paul Nicholson, Alan Warriner-Little and Mark Webster Semi-Finals Phil Taylor v James Wade - Vassos Alexander and Mark Webster Michael van Gerwen v Gary Anderson - Dan Dawson and Alan Warriner-Little The Final Phil Taylor v Michael van Gerwen - Vassos Alexander and Alan Warriner-Little Reporter and interviewer: Caroline Barker Coverage of four sessions, two in the afternoon and two in the evening, was broadcast by BBC TV over the weekend, concluding with these three matches on Sunday night. BBC One showed the Saturday afternoon action, with the rest of the tournament being broadcast on BBC Two. I don't think there was anybody other than those listed above who contributed to the BBC's coverage. |

Whilst I again thought Jason Mohammad was poor all round (his interview with Phil Taylor was just them all talking over each other) and doesn't really know much outside of football and rugby, I thought Paul Nicholson was great. Has he done much TV before?
Nicholson was good! He has done a fair bit for Australian TV when PDC tournaments have been across there. I'm sure he did a bit when ESPN had the European tournament few years back here. Might have featured on ITV4 too, not sure on that though. |

I've grown to like Mohammad but he was pretty poor on the darts. Fawning over Taylor.

Completely agree here about Mohammad. He seemed out of his depth somewhat on the darts. His interviews with Taylor were poor as Mohammad couldnt hide his annoyance that Taylor didnt answer his questions in the way that he wanted. Mohammad looked like his actually wanted to have a go at Taylor at some points. I think Mark Chapman would have been a better choice as a darts presenter for this.
I do like Jason on other sports such as football, rugby, snooker and at the Olympics but for me this wasn’t his finest hour. The other thing Paul Nicholson has done and granted it was a one off but he commentated on the PDC World Final for 5Live a couple of years ago. So if the BBC continue to show PDC darts for me they need to get Colin Murray. |

Agreed. Although I don't think either him or Bobby George are doing the BDO on C4 next year so I think unfortunately his darts duties are over for now.
