I don't watch a ton of tennis outside of majors but what is the script on Sky with regards to their ATP commentary being on-site? I know/read/seen here about how presentation has increased to be on-site (Buckland and Croft are in Paris this week) However I swear Barry Cowan was in the SSN studio earlier today and was on commentary a couple of hours later - so the commentary coming from London, despite Buckland and co in Paris?

Anglo-Welsh Cup Rugby – Friday 4 November (BT Sport 2)

Round 1 – Bath v Leicester Tigers

Sarra Elgan at The Rec with Andy Goode.

Commentators: Nick Mullins and Andy Goode

Reporter: Tim Cocker

Not sure if this is a deliberate downsizing of the on-air team for the lesser competition or if they are stretched, maybe we can expect on-site BT commentary tomorrow evening (which I frankly wasn't).

12-1pm in the studio. Then commbox 2-3 hours later. He could of but surely they wouldn't be going back and forward daily via the EuroStar?

American League Championship Series, TBS

The Postseason Show on TBS presenting team - Casey Stern presented alongside Gary Sheffield, Pedro Martinez and Jimmy Rollins from Rogers Centre and Progressive Field

Toronto Blue Jays v Cleveland Indians - Ernie Johnson Jr, Ron Darling and Cal Ripken Jr, with Sam Ryan as field reporter

National League Championship Series, Fox Sports 1

MLB on Fox presenting team - Kevin Burkhardt presented alongside Alex Rodriguez, Pete Rose and Frank Thomas from Wrigley Field and Los Angeles, California

Los Angeles Dodgers v Chicago Cubs - Joe Buck and John Smoltz, with Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci as field reporters

World Series, Fox

MLB on Fox presenting team - Kevin Burkhardt presented alongside Alex Rodriguez, Pete Rose and Frank Thomas from Progressive Field and Wrigley Field

Chicago Cubs v Cleveland Indians - Joe Buck and John Smoltz, with Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci as field reporters

Tom Verducci joined Fox's Pregame panel during the World Series and for the games played in Chicago during the NLCS. Fox Sports 1 were studio-based, rather than at Dodgers Stadium, for the LA leg of the NLCS. CJ Nitkowski and Dontrelle Willis did a few studio punditary stints during the NLDS, although the main trio were the core crew. Kevin Burkhardt hosted the World Series trophy presentation, as he did for the NLCS (Ernie Johnson Jr did so for the ALCS).

BT Sport broadcast the US national telecasts during the MLB Postseason, with the exception of the World Series, where they took coverage from MLB International with commentary from Matt Vasgersian and Buck Martinez.

The latter replaced John Smoltz, who has been promoted to the main Fox team, replacing Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci as their solo colour commentator. Buck Martinez was a notable choice as he is the lead announcer on the Toronto Blue Jays' local telecasts on Sportsnet, who also hold postseason TV rights across Cananda. Sportsnet took their postseason coverage from US TV - including for games involving the Blue Jays - up until the World Series, where they took MLB International. For the All-Star Game during the summer, Matt Vasgersian had handled MLB International's commentary with Mark DeRosa, so the addition of Martinez was a change on that.

The whole of the World Series was broadcast on BT Sport 1 - so was free to all BT broadband customers. Every game was also available for live streaming via the BT Sport app.

Surprised that neither Jill Douglas or Sonya Mclaughlin aren't on this one. Or has Douglas completely left the BBC Rugby coverage now?

Douglas normally does Rugby stuff for ITV.

'Normally' since only the past year. When she has done/did rugby on the BBC for 10-12 years previous.

Commentary is definitely off-tube, which is why none of the commentators rotate in/out of the pundit position with Buckland.

They also have Ireland V New Zealand this evening, think they are stretched on resources.

But they can get 5-6 European games a weekend with multiple persons on them, especially on a day with 2-3 back to back.

Aye alright.

OMC on the money. Always thought it was a bit of a diddy tourny.

Especially when O'Driscoll is on their books!

BT get international stuff now and again and do a offtube, cheap job. Bet if they got England that would change.

Or on this game they could be "stretched on resources"

They've got Italy v NZ next week (and presumably all the Italy tests unless they've just taken the one). I know Sky have sent comms out in the past but there's probably zero chance of that happening.

It must be clarified that this isn't the commentary going out in Ireland, where the match is on eir Sport with a different commentary team.

Game is in the US, so understand offtube comms but Sky would have had studio coverage though for sure.

When the NZ v USA game from Chicago was on Sky a couple of years ago, the commentary was the NBC feed. Was woeful, rugby for beginners style.

Whilst you'd obviously expect better from a game involving one of the home Unions, at least it's commentators we usually hear on this game.

Eykyn and Grayson are both excellent commentators, and are doing a very good job tonight, but it's still a little bit disappointing.

And of course that wasn't a Home Nations game, so host commentary on that sort of game is what we have every time, however awful it might be.
