Just under a week to go until the Tour de France. I take it ITV4 will be using their usual team of Gary Imlach, Chris Boardman, Phil Liggett, Paul Sherwin and Ned Boulting? It would be a surprise if they aren't but I would appreciate the confirmation.

You would hardly know he is there. Castle and McEnroe are doing all the talking.

Also, Castle is so difficult to listen to. By far, he is the dullest and one of the worst tennis commentators going.

Disagree. Andrew Castle is number 1 by a country mile. Top class broadcaster.

I disgaree with you and agree with smurf. I think Castle is too full of his own self importance. There are many better commentators in my opinion. Simon Reed, Andrew Cotter, Nick Mullins, Mark Petchey and Chris Bradnam for starters.

Was Lloyd actually there at the start or did he join mid match as I swear I never heard Lloyd speak in the first set and missed Sue at the start to see if she namechecked Lloyd. I do love McEnroe however, easily the best commenatator of tennis and do love the partnership he has with Henman where he slags him off at every opportunity.

As for Castle he is good but the BBC have better, I love the way he calls someone rubbish when he was at best a bad tennis player himself

Sue did name-check Lloyd at the start but as McEnroe was making his way to the commentary box, it was only Castle talking so I suspect that Lloyd joined them a few games into the match.

As mentioned above, Petchey, Bradnam, Mullins, Reed and Cotter are all brilliant commentators who are far better than Castle.

He is quite good actually. However, I would have liked to hear Mulins or Cotter getting a match involving the "big four".

I thought Overend would have been doing 5Live only. I wonder if he will do many games because I don't think he has done any TV matches on the Red Button or main channels on the first two days.
