However its more than likely it will be Petchey, Austin & McEnroe on the womens final and Castle, Lloyd & Henman on the mens

On another note what has happened to Boris Becker this year, I have only heard him on one match and that was on Monday”

I haven't really seen much of the past couple of days so don't know if he has been on then, but according to his Twitter page he's working the Ward v Fish game today

I recall last year he decided not to sign up due to a dispute over the disparity of how much the various commentators get paid. Assume it's the same this year - he's clearly not out of favour, as he was at Queen's, so must be his choice...

Anyone know who's commentating with Jo Durie on the Williams doubles match now?

I know a few calls here and there for who to do the final. Although it probably will be Petchy ( ladies ) and Castle ( mens ) but for me the best of the bunch is the Eurosport loanee Simon Reed, I think he is excellent

Ian Ward doing the ODI today. I like David Gower, but this is showing just how good Wardy is. Can imagine him doing all ODIs soon.

David Mercer was absolutely fantastic on the Nadal-Rosol match last night. His commentary encapsulated all the drama and excitement of what was happening perfectly. He showed why he is one of the best around and I couldn't have thought of many commentators better suited to the moment and the occasion.

I only saw the last 20 minutes or so of that game, so I can't comment on his entire commentary yesterday, but, generally speaking, I think he's a terrific commentator.

By coincidence I flicked it on when they showed a caption - it was James Burridge. According to his twitter feed he joined the team yesterday with Bartoli vs Lucic. Not sure I heard him ever before...

It's not only the Europeans who are having a International Athletics competittion so close to the London Olympics, as I've caught a stream showing the African Athletics Championships in Benin, where Angus Torode (of Eurosport 2 Bundesliga commentary) is amongst the commentators.

Sonali Shah is an awful reporter. Almost every question is a waste of time.

On that note, How Gary Richardson gets wheeled out every year as well is beyond me. Such bland questions.

I usually put Gary on the probing side rather than bland. Much better than most sport's interviewers in my opinion.
