yeah, BCCI chooses all the commentators, pictures, Graphics, pretty much everything, with Star showing the match, but one of the benefits has been that their has been less adverts during the game.
Nimbus pretty much annoyed the BCCI, that their decided to cancel their contract.

Look like Dermot reeve will commentate for the india vs england series, he is currently working for star cricket in the india vs new zealand series, as an analyst guy on a computer screen like the sky pad.

I really wish they'd put the Ulster game on Freeview on nights like tonight where there's a clash. At least it has English commentary. (And two British teams.)

For the Record it's Jim Neilly and Ryan Constable at Ravenhill

It is the first time since BBC NI won the Pro 12 that they have featured a non-irish pundit on an Ulster match

That pundit being 'I'm always free to talk inane rubbish' Scott Hastings... how predictable!

Given that Ulster are part of the IRFU, I'm not sure it is accurate to describe them as British.

Cennydd Davies. The graphics department at Llandaff also got it wrong ( ), by saying it was Gareth Rhys Owen.

The only decent ones out of them being Greig, Chappell, Lloyd and Reeve. The others being as dull as ditchwater.

I think it must be a bit of an Anglo-Aussie thing where we actually like a bit humour in our commentary.

Lloyd, is a very good commentator, funny man, Chappell knows is cricket, don't think Reeve will commentate, he is more of analyst for Star cricket.

Interesting line-up.

No Shastri or Gavaskar? ICC not wanting BCCI employees? Ganguly, Bhogle and Manjrekar are fine though.

Mark Waugh and Damien Fleming are interesting choices. Haven't heard them much before.

Glad that we won't have to hear Reeve over here. He really is dreadful.

Which channel will this competition - World T20 - be on in the UK? ESPN or Sky?

Thank you. That makes sense. Do you know if they have a deal with BCCI as well? They're showing India v New Zealand (I think it's the second or third test of the series) at the moment.

They both work for Fox Sports covering Australian domestic cricket such as the Big Bash etc. I would list them as both being ok, but nothing more than that.

Fleming has also branched out a bit and done some studio work for Fox Sports on their AFL programming

Yup. The exact details of that deal are up in the air - Sky signed a 5 year deal with Nimbus a couple of years ago, but since the BCCI ditched Nimbus to bring production in-house at the start of this season some assumed that the overseas rights would also be resold.

In the event, given that no announcement was made, my assumption is that the original deal does stand.

Shane Warne is going to commentate in the 5th Odi, seriously don't really know why he commentates for sky, he hardly ever finishes the full tour, comes here for couple test and odi.

Thank you again. I noticed that there was a round logo in the top left corner. Looking at the logo of BCCI, it was probably that, so it was most likely a BCCI production we were watching, which suggests that your assumption about the deal between Sky and BCCI is correct.

Bad news i'm afraid. Bumble has failed a late fitness test and will not be on commentary today. Lost voice!

Sunday 2nd September - BBC Two Wales

Scrum V

Ross Harries presented alongside Jonathan Davies and Sean Holley

RaboDirect Pro12
Scarlets v Leinster - Wyn Gruffydd
Newport Gwent Dragons v Zebre - Phil Steele
Treviso v Ospreys - Eddie Butler and Robert Jones
Connacht v Cardiff Blues - Cennydd Davies

Principality Premiership
Cross Keys v Pontypridd - Cennydd Davies
Round-up - Non Evans (reporting)

Harry Robinson feature - Ross Harries

Going by the first show of the new season, it looks like the Sunday night Scrum V show has become slightly more of a straight highlights programme rather than the magazine show it has been in the recent past, with features on the Ospreys and Harry Robinson wrapped around the relevant highlights edits. The usual Rick O'Shea feature was noticeably absent. For those interested in the running order, their Principality Premiership coverage started with the round-up ahead of the Cross Keys v Pontypridd edit, with the Connacht v Cardiff Blues edit and the piece on Harry Robinson following that.
