Ramiz Raja has signed a contract with ESPN Star Sports and will work in all the india games, and this means that he won't be able to work on all the pakistan matches, so in south africa Ramiz Raja will do the test matches, but in the ODI and T20 Aamer Sohail will be doing the commentary for Supersport.

I like Ramiz. Very good commentator.

He is the head of their entire commentary set up. Maybe didnt want to be seen as giving himself the best gigs.

ESPN Star Sports today became Fox Sports Asia, so I'm assuming the contracts just carry over?

Think it was Hutchins for the women's final too

Yeah, it's no more than a rebrand, News Corp bought out Disney's (ESPN's) stake last year

Judging by today it looks like he did the womens final so he could fly back in time for their coverage of the WTA event in Paris

I'm surprised to read the forthright nature of his comments - when clicking on that link I was expecting to read about Gwynney deciding to retire in a similar manner to Dave Lanning, that he's stepping down due to the feeling his standing has been "diminished" and can cite examples to back that view up is quite surprising but at the same time I can see where he is coming from.

Hopefully Sky Sports will do John right by handing him the mic to commentate on the World Matchplay final on the main Sky Sports platforms. Good luck for the future John.

S4C - Gareth Roberts hosting pitchside from the Millennium stadium, with Dafydd Jones, Gareth Davies and Gareth Edwards as analyst (before all heading off to a studio before half time). Commentary was from Huw Llewellyn Davies and Dr. Gwyn Jones, with Dot Davies pitchside. Derwyn Jones was 'OB tactician' for the day.

S4C's graphics department had Wales starting with 13 men for 10 seconds after the 1st half kick off, as there were 2 red cards underneath their team name

Not a massive fan of the 'ESPN Style' 3 pronged commentary team, however it worked today on the whole. better than having likes of Chris Paterson down with Jill Douglas every 15 minutes, better utilising all 3 at once.

Although saying that Lawrence Dallaglio spoiling the broth chipping in his 'own booth' now and again... (Although would take him over Brian Moore anyday)

I enjoyed the 3 man commentary especially on the Ireland match and it is better than having them being pitchside with Sonja or Jill or being the Analyst which they seemed to have dropped this year, I think doesn't work aswell on Rugby as it does on Cricket as on the Cricket they have natural stoppage in play so the likes of Simon Hughes or Ian Botham can talk in detail but last year you had people like Matt Dawson or Andy Nicol having 30 seconds to show a replay and getting cut off by the resumption in play.

On todays coverage on the BBC the coverage was excellent as ever but the only criticism I would have is at the end of the brilliant Wales v Ireland match they basically left straight away to have 30 minutes build up at Twickenham when they could of stayed in Cardiff for proper analysis from to 3.45pm before crossing to England v Scotland. As usual it seems the BBC only have 5 England matches live a year and they prefer to big them up rather than properly look at an amazing game of Rugby.

On RTE I only saw the analysis and part of the build up and they had their usual mad punditry a bit like on the Football where they pull no punches especially Hook who is the Dunphy of Rugby on RTE but I was impressed by Shane Horgan. Basically before the match Hook said O'Driscoll was finished and at the end he was God or Bod again
