Interesting subtitle for the YB40 match between Kent and Worcestershire. "TOSS KEN"". Hmmn.

Per Sale: Andrew Strauss will join Sky commentary team for Ashes this summer and probably winter as well.

Nobody departing to make way.

I would imagine that will be the end of Knights sporadic appearances in tests.

Edit, Just read the article and its only for the Ashes Series.

Sky do seem to like to use more people than is necessary at times don't they ? Just look at the Ashes Test commentary team. They will probably do just 2 or 3 shifts per day. 90 mins work.

Last night too for the YB40 game they had Matt Floyd hosting yet he doesn't comentate. They had 5 commentators ( Paul Allott, Bob Willis, Nick Knight, Mark Butcher and Robert Croft ) and at least one of them has hosted live cricket before so why not use him ?

Some very swish new graphics for Cricket on 5, after the previous set had been used for the last 7 seasons. (Funny to think that Channel 5's cricket coverage has now been going for longer than Channel 4's)

Still no infobar (although that doesn't really work when it comes to highlights, IMO, so I completely agree with that) and operating the same way as the previous graphics, i.e. scorebox in bottom lefthand corner fading in at appropriate moments and lower-third graphics providing other info as necessary.

Other than that, no changes, with Mark Nicholas hosting alongside Geoff Boycott, Michael Vaughan and Simon Hughes.

No idea, he is just a host. They could have had Allott present and left Matt at home

Michael Vaughn must be wondering what he did wrong not to get a job on sky

If I had to choose the next one to go off Sky sports cricket 'A' team I would say it would be Bumble or maybe Holding although with Holding it gives them a neutral option pundit

Really am liking Ian Smith, the New Zealand Commentator, he seems a friendly chap, and really up for a laugh with the co commentators, he dug out Hussains, LBW, from years back again today, and took the mickey.

Andrew Strauss, done his first shift in the Commentary box today, i guess its the only shift before the ashes, but it was nice to hear a commentator, so fresh out of cricket, he talked about, what Cook should do, and gave some very good views

He did nothing wrong, Sky offered him a role straight after he retired but he turned it down

Yes, he decided to join TMS instead as he thought it would it give him more of a chance to move into other future career areas. If he joined Sky he would have been restricted more to cricket

Not anytime soon. You can tell the producers love his quirks, it seems to be highly encouraged to the point where its a little over done.

It's clearly a touchy subject for him, he blocked me on twitter for mentioning it during the masters this year.

I agree Bumble wont go very far quick, going by a couple of the forums they have done, the last point via email, has been a gardening one, wouldnt surprise me, if it wasnt one of the producers setting it up.
