At half-time, there was a report on the New South Wales Waratahs v British & Irish Lions game from Dan Roan from BBC News from the Allianz Stadium in Sydney.

Good to hear Andy Gomarsall co-commentating for the BBC, I liked what I heard of him on ITV during the Rugby World Cup and have heard good things about his co-commentary work in the intervening years. I wonder if the BBC will call upon him again on their England highlights in the autumn.

Saturday 15th June - BBC Two Wales

Scrum V

Gareth Lewis presented alongside Martyn Williams and Tom Shanklin

Second Test Match
Japan v Wales - Huw Llywelyn Davies and Stuart Davies, with Gareth Rhys Owen conducting interviews (as S4C)

BBC Wales used their Wales Today news studio rather than the bigger one they usually use for Scrum V highlights shows as they did for their live coverage of the First Test last weekend. I'd like to agree with Ian that this was only a friendly after yesterday's miserable performance by Wales, but it would be wrong to deny Japan their first Test victory over a major rugby playing nation. Certainly over the two Test Matches they deserved it. Fair play to the Cherry Blossoms.

And beyond. With Lawrence Dallaglio now working for BT Sport, there may well be an opening, and not just on TV as well. Matt Dawson was part of Radio Five Live's 6 Nations commentary team and he's BT-bound as well.

National Basketball Association Finals, ABC (USA) & ESPN (UK)

The Finals on ABC: Miami Heat v San Antonio Spurs

Michael Wilbon presented KIA NBA Countdown from courtside at the American Airlines Arena and the AT&T Center alongside Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Jalen Rose and Bill Simmons

Commentators: Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy, with Steve Javie providing courtside analysis

Sideline reporter: Doris Burke (who also lead the trophy presentation)

Anyone know who the commentators Sky Sports used on their coverage of the NBA Finals were? Kevin Cadle hosted their studio-based presentation from Isleworth alongside various British basketball analysts, but from what I saw of Games 6 and 7 he didn't namecheck their commentary team, which judging by the graphics was an NBA TV international feed duo.

The lead commentator was Ian Eagle (normally of CBS).

Not sure who was with him.

For the Eastern Conference Finals, Sky took the US (TNT) commentary direct (led by Marv Albert). Not sure why they didn't also take the main US commentary for the NBA Finals - though Ian Eagle is a really excellent commentator so it probably didn't make much difference.

Thanks for that mlt11 - going by Twitter and Wiki, Jim Spanarkel was with Ian Eagle. They are the usual commentary pairing for CBS' NCAA college basketball coverage.
