Only watched a few mins so don't know if it was explained but why was Verne Lundquist presenting the Travellers Championship?
Just part of the rotation I think. Jim Nantz tends to have a couple of weeks off around now and I imagine Bill Macatee is at Wimbledon for The Tennis Channel.

It must have been planned as earlier in the week CBS made a point of doing a Q&A Twitter chat with Verne where he mentioned that each year he still gets a residual check of $120 for his appearance in Happy Gilmore!

OK - thanks a lot - yes I know Nantz misses some weeks but thought Macatee always stood in.

Must confess I do miss some weeks but don't remember Verne hosting before.

With the new contract Verne signed last year he cut down on a lot of his work. It's rare now that he does host any golf on CBS, last week will probably be the only one he hosts this season because of Macatee's clash

Tuesday 25th June - Sky Sports 1

British & Irish Lions Tour Live: Melbourne Rebels v Lions

Alex Payne presenting from AAMI Park alongside Paul Wallace and Sir Ian McGeechan, with Scott Quinnell, Will Greenwood and Brendan Cannon at pitchside

Commentators: Miles Harrison and Stuart Barnes, with Scott Quinnell and Will Greenwood providing "special comments" from pitchside

Reporters: Brendan Cannon (Fox Sports Australia) and Will Greenwood

Payne presented last night's preview show from an empty Suncorp Stadium, joined at various points by Wallace, Quinnell, Greenwood, Barnes and Brendan Cannon.
Forgot to mention this in my post from Saturday, but they also called upon Dean Ryan for analysis from the SkyPad in the Isleworth studio they used for their presentation on the earlier tour matches.

First impression is that the new graphics are awful, the previous graphics were much nicer, much classier.

I'd like to see a like for like comparison.

I'm not sure they are bigger overall (ie in terms of total space occupied) - I think they are bigger in some respects but smaller in others.

The cricket graphics are fine for me except having the score line over to the left then the run scorers/bowlers line centralised or over to the right. That is daft.

The font certainly looks bigger to me.

What always annoys me is the empty line at the bottom, what is it there got?

Incidentally, they replied to somebody on Twitter saying that this new graphics set is just for Twenty20's, which isn't too bad I suppose.

Isn't that there to stop the graphics being cut off by overscan on people's TVs?

I was under impression Aussie Jim McGrath had retired from horse racing commentary, but he was the on-course commentator at Newbury last night?!

According to Charles Sale, Greg Rusedski has decided not to bother this year, after being offered lower-profile matches http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/art...rles-Sale.html

As for Jim McGrath, his last race will be 7 September.

He was always continuing with the course commentary after BBC's departure from racing. However didn't realise he was finishing too.
