Scarlets v Benneton Trevisio (RaboDirect Pro12 RU) (Saturday)

Gareth Roberts hosted pitchside (at first) from Parc y sgarlets with Dafydd Jones and Brynmor Williams (sporting an excellent Terry Thomas style 'tache!), with commentary from Huw Llewellyn Davies and Emyr Lewis. Dot Davies was pitchside reporter.

Super League Play-Offs- Round One highlights on BBC Two

Hosted by Tanya Arnold with Jonathan Davies, recorded at Langtree Park on Saturday

Huddersfield v Wigan- Dave Woods and Ian Millward
Hull FC v Catalans- Tanya Arnold (voiceover only)
Warrington v Leeds- Dave Woods and Iestyn Harris
St Helens v Hull KR- Ray French and Jonathan Davies

For some reason they asked Jonathan Davies to preview the Huddersfield match despite him having already watched it two days previously. Seemed very odd and understandably he could barely keep a straight face. Tanya is very good I have to say, would prefer as the main Rugby League presenter instead of Chappers.

Her situation is similar to that of Lee McKenzie of the BBC's F1 team; when the vacancy of presenter of the coverage of their sport arose last year, rather than promote the reporter/magazine presenter with an extensive knowledge of the sport, the BBC went with a "name" presenter.

They do it like that.

Nigel Pearson will host from Wolverhampton with Sam Emerolenko and Sophie Nicholls reporting in the pits.

Nigel will hand back and forward with Chris Louie who will lead the coverage from Swindon alongside Kelvin Tatum with Charlie Webster.

It is how they normally cover semi-finals and works quite well.

I must have blocked that out, they have definitely done it this way the last few years.

Just an update as this is a commentary thread, at Swindon Kelvin Tatum is doing the race commentary with Chris Louie as the analyst. Which sounds quite strange being so used to Tatum giving analysis.

Yes i think it would have been Tony Millard who has done many commentaries before, but he sadly passed away a few weeks ago.
