A blonde-haired Scotswoman fronting coverage of snooker on a FTA channel. Now where have we seen this before?.,.

Well last time they were studio based and had Peter Drury doing commentary on the other match. I am guessing now that they have 3 commentators that they will rotate and also be venue based

Friday 27th September - BBC Two Wales and BBC Red Button

Scrum V Live: Leinster v Cardiff Blues

Ross Harries presenting from the studio alongside Gareth Thomas, Robert Jones and Tom Shanklin

Commentators: Gareth Charles and Stuart Davies

Reporter: Phil Steele, joined by Shane Byrne at pitchside

I'm not sure who is doing the Welsh language commentary on the Red Button tonight as they have not been namechecked. Tom Shanklin is joined the team in the studio at half-time, with him also being of BBC Radio Wales' off-tube 'RedZone' commentary team on this match with Rick O'Shea, Paul Williams and Rob Appleyard.

Munster v Newport-Gwent Dragons (RaboDirect Pro12 RU)

Gareth Roberts hosted from their studio with Garan Evans and Derwyn Jones. Commentary is from Dr. Gwyn Jones and Emyr Lewis. Dot Davies is wrapped up to the nines and is pitchside reporter.

Fans of score graphics may have noticed S4Cs has had a slight twig to it, as I think it's using a variation of RTE's. There's also not much of a crowd, due to the county of Cork playing in the GAA Hurling final. The 'Big screen' is showing the game at the ground as well.

I wondered who they might get since I heard that Dave Woods will be commentating on 5 Live, and I assume the live games on the BBC.

Just found an article saying Voss will be calling half the games, as well as being the presenter. Quite a decent coup by PS that is. He would still be on Channel 9 if it wasn't for that turd Ray Hadley.

Voss was tweeting about it yesterday and he said his commentary would be on Premier Sports, Channel 7 and Sky Sports NZ (Voss works for SSNZ at the moment) so it looks like there will generally be one main feed that goes out everywhere

Where's the sense in C4 shifting the match to its minor digital channel just as it's reaching its climax?

If they didn't have the space in the schedule to run it through to its evening finish they should've either have requested an earlier kick-off time or screened the whole match solely on More4.

Impossible to request a different kick off time.
NFL and US broadcasters set kick off times, not little old Channel 4!
Earliest games can start on Sundays during the regular season is 1PM EST which is 6pm UK time.

Well, then, they should have just run with it until its conclusion; C4's Sunday evening schedule isn't so indispensable that it can't be moved for this kind of thing.

They should have i agree.

Probably when they signed for NFL rights, they promised to show the 2 Wembley games live, but with a 3 to 4 hour broadcast window they couldn't give that length of time on the main channel, bit daft though to split the game onto a 'minority' channel.

Live sport occasionally can take precedent on 2 Sundays on 4 over something like Come dine with me or whatever which will not be live anyway.

Merril Hoge left their studio just before half-time, so Colin and Mike presented as a tandem at the break and in the run-up to their switch to More4.

Once coverage moved to More4, Vernon Kay and the England rugby union international James Haskell joined them in the studio. Haskell left after the conclusion of the third quarter, with Daunte Culpepper replacing him during the fourth quarter. Kay left the studio at full-time with Murray, Carlson and Culpepper providing around 20 minutes of post-match analysis.

Will be interesting to see whether they do the same for the game next month, which starts at 5pm as supposed to 6pm

Always going to pose a problem on terrestrial TV, a 4 hour live sports broadcast at prime time, especially one which has a cult following over here.

Hence as said above, why the BBC split their broadcast of a Wembley NFL game a while back also.
