Dull voice, monotone and adds nothing for me. Plus very disrespectful to the BDO which I think is a low blow.

Others are far better in my opinion.
Agreed, mind you i have heard Bristow also be disrespectful of the BDO on occasions too.

Although we have had PDC/BDO disagreements in the past there is no doubt that without the BDO there would have been no PDC.
Some of the veteran players especially, should remember that, as they wouldn't have had careers had it not been for the BDO, i bet they all played county darts as well.

As a commentator there is no need to air your dirty linen in public so to speak, whatever the sport.

As for Nigel Pearson, does anyone else find him to get a bit exciteable at times? Whether it is the Speedway or the Darts he seems to have a tendancy to shout and scream at the drop of a hat, i don't mind him apart from that.
Maybe i am just getting a bit boring in my old age!

I agree, Nigel Pearson is excellent on the speedway. He is ok on the darts, not my favourite, that is Stuart Pyke. I like Eric as he says it like it is but he does sometimes over step the mark.

I wonder when John Part will re-emerge in the comm box

Pearson certainly knows his speedway, i'll give him that.
I do think that him and Tatum are going to spontaneously combust sometimes, but they do make it exciting.

John Part was excellent in the comm box, i know he did a bit earlier this year i think in a TV event, not sure who it was for, i also quite like Mason and Warriner-Little on ITV 4 and will be glad to hear more of them.

John Part is very impressive. Would definitely like him to be featured more regularly (when he isn't playing)

EDIT - Actually, he's on now.

Sky's darts coverage does seem to be a bit short of commentators now, ever since Dave Lanning retired, the sad loss of Sid Waddell and for some reason or other John Gwynne was forced out. With Nigel Pearson not always available due to Speedway and Talksport commitments at times there does to be a hole, as shown on Monday evening when both Rod Studd and Stuart Pyke covering 5 matches each. I do agree with one of the previous comments though that Pearson does shout out a lot, and many times it's totally unnecessary. Wayne Mardle has certainly improved since he first started, Bristow although he says it how he sees it just isn't suited to commentary, Harrington does overstep the line at time with both comments towards the BDO and in his criticism of players, Studd is solid but nothing special and Pyke is definitely the best of the lot.

Hmmm Maybe. I Think Bristow is worse than Harrington.

Mardle is some Waddell copycat, and still not improved.

But they had John Gwynne last year, this year they are one down. I am sure they will use John Part but not until after he is knocked out.

BT are doing what ESPN America always did - taking the international feed for one LCS (the National League this year) and the World Series. It's still Gary Thorne and Rick Sutcliffe in the booth.

I imagine it will be the usual duo of Joe Buck and (for the final time) Tim McCarver doing the ALCS and the World Series for Fox (we should get the former on BT Sport/ESPN here).

Sheehan and Hastings is a rather ghastly combination.

Hastings is abysmial at both. Crap commentator and talks nonsense as co-comm. (IMO and probable voice of Scotland)
