We might all aswell get used to it. It hasn't ever been more obvious!!

Check the official Strictly "Stay Another Day" spoof vid. That literally says it all.

Shame!

care to expand on this theory...? cause all I saw was ALL the finalist making prats of themselves yet again all in the name of "comedy"

or did I miss some subliminal "vote Harry message" flash on the screen half way through

Alas, facts are never the forte of the conspiracy theorist.

And by the look of it, it's a popular opinion. Even Craig can't maintain from commenting on his "tight" pants! Actually I don't remember Craig ever openly complementing a celebrities attraction before.

Anyway, the point I was (so poorly) trying to make was that maybe the reason those people say they want Harry to win is because they want Harry to win. If Harry is the more popular celebrity then it'd make sense for more people to say they want him to win... what's it got to do with BBC? A few weeks ago all the guests on ITT were going on about Jason like that.

The BBC see this as it is, a popular Saturday night entertainment show for all the family that produces very good ratings for three months.

The BBC don't care who wins, what they presently care about is the ratings for the next two shows.
They want the result that will produce the highest number of viewers.
This week should be ideal as far as they are concerned, as those eliminated aren't a foregone conclusion.

The final should include Chelsee and Harry, the third spot doesn't really matter that much, though they would like "their girl" to be one of the three.

Hmm..

I wonder who will be the next The One Show competitor?
Always presumed good for that show's ratings too.

Add the missing bracket on the end, and sorry, no idea why my link earlier shows it like that - the percentages are definitely up now - I'm looking at them!

The BBC aren't "gunning" for anyone, or was that gurning?

Why two threads on this?

To be honest the strategy the BBC always go for is to make the race seem much closer than they know it actually is. It encourages both sides to vote more, and more people to watch because the final isn't a foregone conclusion.

I think guests on ITT are free to support whoever they want - it just seems to me like Harry is the type of guy that is heavily involved in showbiz stuff. He's young, a nice guy, part of a group that's well known in the UK, do a fair amount of charity work and are accessible to their fans. So it just stands to reason that a lot of celebs would know him and like him, and that he'd be coming in to the show with an existing fanbase.

He has the highest profile of the celebs as well. Holly hasn't done anything for a while, Jason's not really that current, Alex is popular but she's also noticeably the weakest of the remaining dancers, and Chelsee's known primarily for her role in an ensemble cast.

Despite that, the celebs get the same amount of time on the main show, and the same amount of time on ITT. The BBC aren't biased towards Harry, it's simply the format of ITT that guests are invited to give their opinions and many of them happen to like Harry this year.

Well, lets see shall we..

The spoof/mock "Stay Another Day Video" Officially commisioned on the BBC site where precious Harry is potrayed as the central piece

The crazy PR where when any of the remaining contestants are interviewed they're being asked if they think they could beat Harry "The favourite" to win.

The BBC's PR again when showing BBC ad's before Eastenders and other BBC programmes with Harry dominating screen time again (Yawn)

All of the official press i.e Radio Times et al featuring top favourites, although this was week 3/4/5

Should I go on???

Their precious bland/boring Harry has always been their determined fave. Lets hope someone from their PR office is reading. Its clearly blatantly a fix!

Actually, I do think Harry is the favourite anyway, but I think if he makes it to the final (which he should) people may be too certain of a win and he could lose the crown to Chelsee.

Either that or he might have peaked, but judging by his Charleston training he still has a few tricks and surprises in store.

I wonder if McFly will go out in force with getting their celebrity friends asking their Twitter followers to vote again (as what happened with Dougie!) There were celebs from Glee, Harry Potter and all sorts of backgrounds writing the same "Vote Dougie!" messages. But again, this just shows how friendly they are with a lot of people in the industry and partly why many guests may be favouring him.

I really hope he wins though.

Oh where to begin?

A few weeks ago Russell was on the cover of the Radio Times. So do the BBC want him to win?

If you say so. I clearly have all my facts wrong.
Hello.

The only thing I'll admit is that Harry has had more coverage than the others because his bandmate won IAC. Nothing to do with the BBC though.
