Harry was probably in the video more because he has more recent experience of miming and he suits the look more than the others. If anything, I feel sorry for the chap cos the whole thing was pretty inert.

Is he going to be Dick or Julian, and What Does It Mean?

Experience of miming? He doesn't sing lol. He looked pretty convincing though!

[quote=Sanah;55182460]Well, lets see shall we..

The spoof/mock "Stay Another Day Video" Officially commisioned on the BBC site where precious Harry is potrayed as the central piece

They did a similar thing last year. Matt seemed to be singled out and he did not win. From that video I actually thought Chelsee looked as if she was doing a victory dance in the background while the others were singing.

The crazy PR where when any of the remaining contestants are interviewed they're being asked if they think they could beat Harry "The favourite" to win.

The BBC's PR again when showing BBC ad's before Eastenders and other BBC programmes with Harry dominating screen time again (Yawn)

All of the official press i.e Radio Times et al featuring top favourites, although this was week 3/4/5

Should I go on???

Their precious bland/boring Harry has always been their determined fave. Lets hope someone from their PR office is reading. Its clearly blatantly a fix!”

to the above I have only this to add

It baffles me that supporters of other finalist feel the need to resort to this kind negativity against other strong competitors.

The bbc has nothing to gain from a Harry win. Unlike Chelsee and Alex he is not employed by them and unlike Holly and Jason he is unlikely to peruse work options with them after he finishes. When Strictly is done he will go back to being a drummer in his successful band.

Either that or he might have peaked, but judging by his Charleston training he still has a few tricks and surprises in store.

I wonder if McFly will go out in force with getting their celebrity friends asking their Twitter followers to vote again (as what happened with Dougie!) There were celebs from Glee, Harry Potter and all sorts of backgrounds writing the same "Vote Dougie!" messages. But again, this just shows how friendly they are with a lot of people in the industry and partly why many guests may be favouring him.

I really hope he wins though. ”

Chelsee and Jason are very good performers but technically Harry is the best dancer by a mile. He deserves to win!!!

Harry is not the best dancer by a mile. Nobody this series has been amazingly good imo - they all lack something.

However, why on earth would the BBC be pushing for a Harry win? They have nothing to gain by it.

And sexy? No. Harry is pleasant enough on the eye but about as sexy as forest fern soap on a rope.

I do find Harry sexy, some people don't each to their own and rightly so
I will be voting for him, I happen to think he is one of the nicest people I've met, I don't think he's coming across on the show like people who know McFly see him (does that make sense) and I really wish he'd let the real Harry out and show everyone

I agree he isn't the best dancer, but I do feel that he's made improvements and his dances never fail to put a smile on my face.
If it was decided purely on talent many series would have been different

Oops! Must pay more attention to McFly if they ever reconvene after jungle etc. Don't they let him sing at all - not even have a chorus or two?

I agree with whoever it was who regretted the grumpiness between individuals having different favourites. What does it achieve?

Lol, it sounds like someone is just fed up that their favourite is not front and center anymore. Jason has hogged the spotlight since this series started, it's about time other contestants were promoted a bit more. Better late than never.

Why the BBC would be favoring Harry to win above the other contestants is beyond me; they have nothing to gain from his win... :|

I personally don't find him 'sexy' [I can understand why other people would though], and he's not the best dancer on the show, but he comes across as a nice, normal individual, which I guess a lot of viewers would find endearing. The fact that he comes from a successful pop band means he has legions of followers [namely crazy lets-all-vote-1000-times fangirls, most of who perhaps never watched Strictly before, but watch it now for Harry], and also has celebrity supporters who he met through the industry, increasing his popularity and votes.

The BBC don't care who wins, it's the public majority who want Harry to win.

so following this formula one could make an educated guess that a current in vogue member of a group will be in next years show

and two breakfast show presenters

Angela Rippon and assorted other Grande dames

and so on

Shame!”

The shame is the pathetic "anti Harry" brigade who feel the need to start a second thread on this ludicrous accusation.
It will make us Harry supporters all the more determined that he gets to the finals.

I shall certainly be making a couple of extra phone calls this evening for our boy!

This, if anything he is one of the most overrated celebs strictly has ever had especially from some of the press. This not an attack or anything but his Latin dances have all been mediocre at best. It's not his fault and may actually harm his chances.

Sorry to cut your post a bit, Little Nothing! but wanted to agree with your comment above.

I, like many, have watched Strictly from the first show, and this kind of crap comes up every single year.

BORED!!!!!!!!!!!!

For sure, we all want our fave to win - that's part of the fun of it all, along with the goodnatured banter.

One of them is gonna lose, sure as day! And if so, the world won't end!

I think there are 5 really nice people in the semis - part of me loves 'em all! Although Holly is my fave (girl crush LOL) of those left, I don't think she should win because ultimately I want a good dancer to win, and the best dancers to my eye are Chelsee first, and then Harry. With Jason third.

I love Harry - think he is the loveliest guy and you probably would take your slippers off before you kicked him out of bed LOL!

I do agree that he will win though - not for any nasty and spiteful theory, but simply because he is ONE of the best dancers and to add to that he has the biggest fanbase of any of the last 5. So it would seem natural that, provided his fanbase vote for him, he will probably win, given those factors.

For myself, I could not vote for him, because for very personal reasons away from dancing, I could not support his pro partner. That is my own personal "thing" - not for this board, and nothing to do with lovely Harry. I know some people may say that you shouldn't penalise the celeb in cases like this, but we all have different reasons for voting (or not) and all are valid.

However, I doubt he'll miss my vote! But if he wins, like any of the others left, he would be an absolutely worthy winner.

I'm sick of reading the negativity year after year - there is a HUGE difference between having a joke at someone's expense (like we all do) and being snidely bitchy or vitriolic against whoever isn't your fave and whom you consider a threat. Is pathetic and said people should simply grow up.

Have seen several fans of the 5 semi-finalists doing this, this year.

It would be lovely to simply enjoy the final, congratulate the winner each year even if it wasn't your own favourite, and simply enjoy what is a great entertainment show.

I don't think he's sexy either. Every time a guest on ITT says 'Harry is so hot' or when the judges fan themselves over his bare chest or tight trousers, I think 'really?!' He likes wearing beige cardies and christmas jumpers! Well...I guess whatever floats your boat

I'll take him home to meet my mum but I'll rather have Artem or Pasha for a dirty weekend (or both!). Now, what they don't know about smouldering and sex-appeal is probably not worth knowing

I am intrigued!

I like all of the final five this year (even Donovon ). However I would love to see a Harry, Chelsee and Holly final with the best dancer winning - Harry IMO

Look at the cover of this month's Attitude and try saying that with a straight face. Better yet, look at the mobile cover of the iPad version of said magazine. He's the sexiest thing that's been in the show since it started by a country mile. The fact that he's the best dancer and doesn't ramble on like the amiable but irritating Jason is merely gravy.

Not only has he got the McFly fans voting, but he'll have the gay vote pretty much sewn up, too (he's Attitude's Man of the Year). Doesn't mean he'll win, of course. But given that it's said Google searches for Harry have exceeded those of the rest of the contestants combined, he must have a good shot. And unless every BBC employee has been Googling "Harry Judd" since this series began, I would submit his popularity has nothing to do with BBC bias. Though, of course, one knows that DS being what it is, the truth never stops cries of "fix" from those who don't get the result they wanted as they throw their dummies out of the pram.

Offhand, I can't recall when I last read such arrant nonsense. Still, given the amount of spurious rubbish churned out on DS forums, that's actually an achievement (albeit a highly dubious one).

Surely you mean Alesha?! Harry could just turn up, defecate all over the dance floor and she'd still be waving that 10 paddle around like a mad woman! He has all the performance skills of a constipated bulldog! I think the blatant fiddling with the leader board came to the fore last weekend when they inexplicably under marked Jason, even though they all thought it was perfect.

I had a feeling the "galvanised" Jason would come into this post somewhere.
