I was just thinking, if Holly gets through to the final, it is likely that her friend Princess Beatrice will come to see her. This would be nice to see and good for the programme. Vote Holly

Nothing against her, but she'd be accompanied by security guards and "hangers on" taking up seats that could be offered to other actual licence payers and there will be a lot of BBC people there already taking up seats.

Who cares! she and her sister have far too many privileges and give nothing back, unlike Princess Anne's offspring who both work for a living, and don't have a title or bodyguards!

It would be nice to see some Royal support for Holly from Princess Beatrice if she can make it to the final, and Royal patronage would be great for Strictly's ratings.

Good for the programme in what way? I'd much rather a space occupied by PB - or indeed any of the royals - went to someone who had always wanted to be in the Strictly audience.

No, really. Well, one of them, anyway. He and his chums went to see Blackpool play football and they all went to the Pleasure Beach, which opened specially for them. Then they all hightailed it off to somewhere swanky in the Ribble Valley where his granny's got a house, so as they could go and blast the living daylights out of some of the local wildlife.

And talking of his granny, she was here two years ago for the Royal Variety Performance.

All that said, I don't see Holly making the final, so I doubt we'll be seeing Beatrice here.

I can't understand how Holly is still in the competition. I've nothing against her but she just isn't very good - Alex has improved more than Holly. Holly always looks as though she just can't be bothered. So IMO, it would take more than the presence of a princess to work those wonders.
